Jesus told us, “He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death” (Rev. 2:11). This was not a promise that we would avoid it altogether, but an exhortation to expect it in our lives. It is to our advantage then to understand what the second death is, how it affects us at this present moment, and what its’ purpose is in the life of the believer. This study addresses the subject of the second death along with the messages to the seven churches in the book of the Revelation.
