"A raw, beautiful, poignant story about pain, heartache and first love. I couldn’t put it down.”
- Carly Phillips, NYT bestselling author

Only fools fall in love...

After her senior year of high school leaves behind nothing but heartache, Olivia Beaumont is sure of this: She’s no stupid girl. She sets out for Winston University, promising herself that she will remain focused on her first and only love – astronomy. But all it takes is cocky sophomore Brax Jenkins and an accidental collision with a football, to throw her entire year off course.

A quick-tempered Southie who escaped the inner city streets of Boston to pitch for Winston, Brax is known to play way more fields than just the baseball diamond. So, when his name is drawn to take part in his fraternity’s hazing dare, Brax eagerly accepts the mission to take Olivia’s virginity. But he doesn’t plan on falling hard for the sweet and sassy Texas girl who sees right through his bad-boy persona.

As Olivia and Brax battle their feelings for each other, echoes of the past year begin to surface. A boy who once turned Olivia’s whole world upside down reappears, and “harmless” pranks wreak havoc. Pretty soon the aspiring astronomer is on the verge of revealing her most difficult, heartbreaking secret. All the while, Brax must wrestle with the irrevocable dare, and Olivia struggles against all logic as she does the one thing only a stupid girl would do: fall in love.

There was delicious conflict, the most complex and developed romantic connection. I don't think anyone will see Olivia and Brax and not feel and completely believe their feelings for each other. It was like getting a glimpse into an epic love story. What starts out as a fairly standard plot of a 90s romantic comedy movie, turned into oh so much more. I can't even tell you how much I loved Brax and Olivia. This is a book that I know I will revisit in the future. Heck a book that can have me smiling, laughing, swooning, and bawling like a baby this much is a hit with me. Stupid Girl just resonated with me. I can't say enough good things about Stupid Girl. I will recommend this book to everyone.Stupid Girl is one of the best books that I have read in a while. It is told mainly from Olivia's point of views, with just a couple of chapters scattered in there from Brax. I liked this technique because it made it mainly Olivia's story, but I love Brax so much so I was longing from his point of view when his chapters were far and few in between. Mostly because he is just so mysterious, I had to know where he stood. I'm really impressed with the story she told. I look forward to reading more from her. I do hope she continues to write more new adult, in this same setting. I'd like to see how Olivia and Brax are doing later on.

Captivating, melt your heart and touch your soul. You will laugh and you will cry but you will not want to put the book down. You will be sucked in and feel as if your right there. A must read.

This book was hard to put down.  I shed some tears with this one.  Cindy miles portrayed such depth into these characters.  You could feel their struggles and triumphs.  I loved how she picked out Brax's accent in the book and how "Gracie" was hearing it.  This was really well written I really felt for Olivia's character in the book.  She was overcoming some hard circumstances from the year before so you can out right see why she was so untrusting.  Brax on the other hand was not as forth coming it took a bit to fall into love with his character.

Great characters, fun plot and I could not put it down. I read it in one day and loved every moment! The title doesnt do it for me, I hate the word stupid, but the cover is beautiful. Job well done! I want a sequel!! :)

Loved it! Loved the main characters. Loved the storyline. My only issue was the ending. I want to know what happened to Gracie and Brax. What ever happened to her exboyfriend? It wasn't enough. It just ended too soon for me. I would love a novella about them or something. But I highly recommend this book.

I feel like the Stupid Girl for letting this book stay on my TBR pile for so long. I started it yesterday and I finished it this morning. I did not want to put my Nook down. You will be captivated by this story. Gracie is a strong female lead. I very much respect the character this author created. Brax stole my heart and I was reading all of his dialogue with my best Southie accent. Great supporting characters. You will laugh, get angry, cry, and fall in fictional book love with Stupid Girl. I just wish we could have gotten to see Kelsy get some payback. I want that fictional POS to lose everything. I am feeling a little violent towards him. Watch your back, Kelsy!!!!! I am now going to go buy Stupid Boy. Chores and grocery shopping be damned!

What can I say about Stupid Girl? It's such a reader that I didn't really put it down for two days. I'm the type if reader that I like a book, I get lost in it. I feel what the character feels I feel like I go on the journey with them. Stupid Girl is that such book that I got lost in. Through every up and down that Gracie went through. Through every decision Brax had to make. To feeling like I was falling love for the first time all over again. If you're anything like me, a hopeless romantic who loves getting lost in the books and finding the deeper meaning. You're going to love this book.

I'm going to preface this by the fact that I read Stupid Boy (book 2) first and liked it enough that I ran to Amazon to buy Stupid Girl. So I came into this knowing that our hero & heroine would ultimately have their HEA, but hello, it is a romance- they typically end that way. I absolutely fell in love with Olivia and Brax. Despite the cliche of the storyline, I loved it beyond compare. Brax's "Southie" accent made me giggle. The loss of the entire letter r from his alphabet and how the author would repeat the word w/o the r after certain sentences made me realize that even my inner dialogue cannot properly do a Boston accent. What the heck? Still those little parts made me giggle each time. LOVED it! This is a story of a rough and tumble bad boy with a long past who falls for the sweet innocent country girl with a secret. Naturally he breaks her heart because that's how these stories work. What made this one exceptional was how the author pulled me into the backstory of Brax and made me love him. She was able to make us understand what makes him tick and why he's so prone to violence. Quite honestly, I want MORE of him. Check it out - I think you'll love it :)

This book is making me crazy and I'm not even done. Argue is 'ahgue' in italics after the original sentence. I'm from MA I know what the accent sounds like and I miss it since I've been away for 17 years but it is very annoying and makes me I find it to be a 'wicked' juvenile writing style. I'm going to try to finish but at this point I make no promises.

I liked this story, but I did feel like it could use some additional editing. For example, the word "kookoo" is used several times, but that should be spelled, "cuckoo." Seeing errors like that, makes me wonder who and if this was edited at all?

Stupid Girl is the first book in the Stupid in Love series by Cindy Miles. Olivia had something tragic happen to her just before her senior year in high school began. After a year of humiliation, she was hoping to start over once college started. This story brought out a mix of emotions while I read. There was humor, suspense, sadness, steamy-ness, and more. Stupid Girl by Cindy Miles was kindly provided to me by the author for review. The opinions are my own.
