Overview

It was meant to be an affair...
After Kelsey is assaulted, her FBI foster parents plead with her to spend a few weeks with their friends in Montana while they investigate the incident. Since she would do anything for them, she grudgingly agrees, wondering how she will pass the time on a ranch in the middle of nowhere without going stir crazy. As soon as she catches sight of her two hosts, Greg and Devin, she figures: what better way to take her mind off her troubles than with an affair with one of them?
Ex-FBI agents Greg and Devin vowed never to get personally involved with another woman under their protection after their last case ended in tragedy. When their former boss asks for their help, the two best friends butt heads over how to answer him. But what with the insecurity reflected in Kelsey's blue eyes, the desperation behind her flirtations, and discovering her submissive side, both men find themselves succumbing to the petite blonde.
While Kelsey basks in the dominant attention of both her cowboys, she continues to insist she can't wait to get back to her life in Philadelphia. It isn't until the threat against her is verified, the truth comes out about her past, and a few disturbing mishaps occur that Greg and Devin step into full protection mode, vowing to keep the woman they'd both grown to care for safe. And not until after the guys save her life, freeing her to return home, does Kelsey realize home really is where the heart is, and hers is in Montana with her two cowboys.
This is book five in the Cowboy Doms series, but reads as a standalone.
Publisher's Note: This steamy, contemporary, Western romance contains elements of mystery, suspense, ménage, and power exchange.

I KNEW SHE WAS TROUBLE The story is an emotional roller-coaster ride, one with mystery, suspense, danger, secrets, angst, and also healing and second chances. For retired FBI agents, it is the call to once again protect a woman, Kelsey Hammond, but while Greg Young capitulates to the McAllisters wishes, Devin Fisher doesn’t want anything to do with her. After their final case where the witness they were protecting is killed, and they are both wounded, Devin isn’t willing to risk it again, he still suffers nightmares from their failure. He will be very vocal about it, and when Kelsey arrives in Montana, she knows he doesn’t want her there. The story will include Kelsey convincing her protectors that she has some submissive experience with BDSM, which is not true and causes issues when they allow her to go with them to The Barn, a local BDSM club. “She was tired of people telling her what to do, of controlling her life even if they said it’s for her own good and safety. Remembering his disconcerting perceptiveness, Kelsey reined in the urge to argue, and instead put on her sweet, eager to comply face.” “You pushed for our attention, and now you have it.” –Devin “We have more, baby, but you should be more careful of what you ask for.” The more time she spends at the Wild Horse Dude Ranch, around Devin and Greg, along with two long term guest, Otis, and Silas, and ranch employees Tom, Mary, and Less, she becomes a part of the gang. Devin and Greg’s job is to keep her hidden and safe while the McAllisters and the FBI investigation as to who is after her—while keeping it all from Kelsey. When she is nearly injured, and it appears not to be a freak accident, it will put them on high alert, enough to change the last week of the incoming guest for the season. Have all the things that happened to Kelsey when she was younger been warnings, and why doesn’t she know the truth? “We made a mistake in keeping you in the dark and you in not trusting us. We’ll do what people should do who love each other, forgive and forget.” –Jordan McAllister The plot includes the danger of someone sent to attack Kelsey, first in Philadelphia while she is working on the accounting at the BDSM club, and now it seems as if they have found her in Montana. Who is after her, and why? Will Devin and Greg be able to keep her safe? When it is all over, Kelsey needs to return to her life and home in Philadelphia, but will she find peace or be miserable? Was the offer by her cowboys just words, or is it more? “Be careful stating what you want. She would take what she could get. Hadn’t that been her motto since setting her sights on her two cowboys?” The story will include scenes witnessed inside the two BDSM clubs, Dominion in Philadelphia, and The Barn in Montana. It will also have explicit sex scenes between Kelsey with Greg and Devin, along with several discipline scenes. The chemistry between the characters sizzles off the pages. The moral is truth and honesty are critical in any relationship or friendship, and within the BDSM world, it is critical—a lesson that Kelsey will learn at the hands of her two cowboy doms.

A really emotional romance with some intrigue. Kelsey spent her entire life feeling as if she didn't belong to anyone. Even with her foster parents who tried so hard to make her feel loved. So when she accidentally ends up killing a man who was trying to hurt her, they convince her to go stay with a couple of friends in Montana. But there is more to Greg and Devin than the fact that they own and run a dude ranch... they are former FBI agents and Doms who happen to like to share with each other. For someone who has lived a rather "vanilla" life, they open her eyes, and heart, up to new experiences. This is the fifth book in the Cowboy Doms series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a really spicy book that deals with a Dom/sub relationship, so if that's not your cup of tea... you might not want to read it.❣️ I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Realizing I am Home B J Wane is a great author with loads of tales up her sleeve. This one is about Kelsey Hammond who adores her FBI foster parents the McAllisters. They begged her to stay with their friends on a Montana ranch after she was assaulted, while they investigated the incident. What Kelsey did not realize is these two friends were Ex FBI agents, and she was under their protection. And had agreed to play host as a favor for their Ex boss. Kelsey keeps saying she can not wait to get back home to Philadelphia even though she adores the attention these two dominate cowboys are showing her. Then all hell breaks loose. It's verified the threat against her life has been made. Greg Young and Devin Fisher step into protection mode after a few mishaps transpire. The truth comes out concerning her past, and both men vow to keep this woman they both care about safe. The guys save her life, then release her to go home, suddenly she realizes she does not want to leave. She wants to stay with her two dominate cowboys. Wonder what happens next? How will her foster parents take the news? Can it work out? You will have to grab this book to find out. Personally, I can not wait for the next book to be released from this author. There is much more I left out it is loaded with action, but it would take a book to tell it all. I received a free copy of this book. This honest review was posted voluntarily.

Kelsey is a young woman who was found wandering the streets when she was five. She has abandonment issues. When her foster parents (she is 29, but they are still in her life) ask her to go to Montana to hide while they find out who is stalking her, she isn't happy. But, she goes. Greg and Devin are protecting her at their ranch and even though they don't want to get involved with her, they do. This was a great addition to the series and I'm hoping it's not over.

I enjoyed this exciting story that is filled with dominance, steam and danger. I liked the chemistry between Devin, Kelsey and Greg. The storyline holds your attention well with a complex blend of drama, emotionanal turmoil, tension, suspense, twists and hot scenes. I thought that this was a very good read.

Loved the story. Devin and Greg are asked to protect Kelsey as her foster parents investigate a possible attack on her person. Going to Montana for one month opens Kelsey up to a whole different world in which she becomes attached to the two men. As much as Devin fights his attraction to her, he relents and while watching over her, they initiate her into a small part of the BDSM world. The book is well written, entertaining and keeps your attention. There is a HEA but a lot happens first and what is what makes this book as a great read. I would highly recommend this book.

She reluctantly ended up in Montana to keep her safe with Greg and Devin. Kelsey is not too good at listening to either of them. Devin does not want her there but after seeing her she wiggles herself under his skin. He seems to like petite blondes. They find out she is in danger and someone has tracked her there and it has something to do with an inheritance she is to receive when she turns 30. There are so many twists and turns in this book you simply have to read it for yourself. I received a free copy of this book. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Spicy MFM romance Kelsey is sent away by her quasi-adopted parents to keep her safe, even though she doesn't think she's in any danger. Greg and Devin have the perfect setup to provide her refuge, as long as they don't get too close to her. Except that Kelsey isn't about to pass up the opportunity to get as close as possible to either or both of these hot cowboys. Kelsey's character sometimes seemed more bratty than one would expect of a 29 year old; it was as though her annoying behavior was just to provoke the obligatory punishment scenes. Greg and Devin are both patient but kind Doms, but I didn't feel there was enough character depth to explain either one of them developing strong enough feelings for Kelsey to warrant the HFN ending. The story works if you're just wanting the BDSM scenes or the whodunit/mystery aspect, but as a romance it felt a little thin. Still, it was great to see the other couples from the earlier books in the series, including a couple welcome updates. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
