About the Author

Julia Schlam Edelman, MD wrote Menopause Matters: Your Guide to a Long and Healthy Life. Successful Sleep Strategies for Women expands on information presented in Menopause Matters. Dr. Edelman was a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School for twelve years and also served as a clinical consultant at Massachusetts General Hospital. She has more than 30 years of clinical experience. Dr. Edelman earned a BS at Yale University, an MD at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. In 2010, The North American Menopause Society selected Dr. Edelman as their Menopause Practitioner of the Year.
