About the Author

My journey to become a writer began in 8th grade, when I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and pulled from school to recover. During this time, I was left alone for hours on end and it was then that I discovered new friends within the pages of books. I also learned the blessing of creating my own friends by writing down the stories that plagued my lonely mind—as demented as that sounds. Therefore at the ripe age of fourteen, I wrote my first novel. It sucked! But I kept going and now I am an Indie Author with numerous books out. I never imagined that first horrible novel about a man who crash landed on his long lost home world would turn into a lifelong passion. I now live in Chicago, IL with my amazing husband and two rambunctious kittens, Groot and Rocket.

We all want fantasy to be reality, but oftentimes don't realize what that would actually entail. Charissa Dufour's "Sucked In" is a funny and exciting example of that old adage, "Be careful what you wish for." If you love vampire novels, don't miss out on this debut novel by Charissa Dufour! Readers of Patricia Wrede's "Dealing With Dragons" and any of Terry Pratchett's novels will love this book!

This book was entertaining, with a whole new amusing and interesting take on the mystical world and some of its unique characters.  It's a fun read with plenty of sarcasm and wit!

With all books, I start of skeptically, nitpicking every detail. As I was reading this book, I found it harder and harder to find something to needlessly complain about. Very quickly, I let myself enjoy it. There's something about this book that makes you want to keep reading. It constantly kept me on my toes. I definitely recommend this book to those of us who enjoy mythological adventures, strong female protagonists, and a plot that'll keep you guessing.
