Sucked Into Love by Rochelle Paige

It's just Jocelyn's luck that she meets her match at the fake bachelorette party her best friend throws for her.

She knows better than to get pulled into any of Cee-Cee's antics. It must have been sheer exhaustion that made her agree to help her best friend out with a work project - one that ended up with her playing bachelorette for the night!

No man ever wants to be knocked off his feet by a woman he meets while she's wearing a bachelorette "suck for a buck" shirt...

Andrew knows that he wants Jocelyn the moment he lays eyes on her, but he's never been one to poach on another man's territory. He walks away but finds himself changed by the experience. Imagine his surprise when he sees her again, only to discover she isn't married and has never even been engaged.

Although this is book one in the Bachelorette Party series, there is no cliffhanger. Each book features a different couple. And if you've read the Blythe College series, you'll see some familiar faces in Sucked Into Love.

So I have mixed feelings about this story. It starts out ok. He’s lovingly possessive. She’s strong yet vulnerable. Then 3/4 of the way through she’s submissive and he’s overly dominant. Didn’t really like the ending. It was like I started reading one book then ended with a different one. What rated this four stars was the first of the book.

He's waiting for her to catch up, but not so alpha to be dominating - at least, not too much

I really loved the book!!! It had a good storyline that was believable and a man that knew what he wanted. It didn't hurt that he sexy and took charge of things in the bedroom.

Boring and predictable. I hate to say that it felt much longer than 149 pages... also, not a huge insta-love fan. i truly hope his initial alpha attitude wouldnt work on anyone as its pretty creepy.

I'm not a fan of love at first sight stories because they seem to be more about insta-attraction/lust than about love.  However there was something about this blurb that made me want to read this book more than my dislike of the instalust monster, and I'm glad I listened to that voice. I really liked Jocelyn.  She's a hard worker and a great friend.  She's kind and sincere and I hated to learn how her life had been after the death of her mother.  Tragedy usually shows us different faces of the people we know and love, and the one she saw was really hard to take.  I love how she never gave up on her father though.  She kept trying even if he wasn't willing.  I liked Andrew too.  I would've thought she and Alec were a better couple given their history, but it seems Alec's heart has already been stolen by someone else.  Andrew was a bit too cave man like for my taste, but I love how he was able to back down a little whenever Jocelyn explained to him why she was doing or thinking things.  The story was hot and there was plenty of sex, but I like how it didn't go completely over the top. Another thing I liked about the book was things flowed well and the plot twists.  There were a few I didn't see coming and some I did. I read this book in no time and liked the mix of characters.  I'm really looking forward to reading Jason and Cee-Cee's story.  I'm also very happy to have enjoyed my first Rochelle Paige book and look forward to combing through her back list to find other books I may have missed out on.

***I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review*** I HAD to read this book when I saw the summary.  For my bachelorette party, my girls made me a suck a buck shirt so I really wanted to read this to see how this turned out (for me, my to-be hubby suggested we could try that when we had to start paying bills.  HA!)  ¿ Sucked into Love is the first book in the series but it was wrapped up nicely in the end.  This can definitely be read as a standalone as there is no major cliffhanger. The main characters in this book are Andrew and Jocelyn.  Jocelyn is an independent woman that just landed the job of her dreams.  Andrew is an ex-hockey player that owns several clubs and is known to be a playboy. Andrew has a lot of sides to his personality: protective, possessive, understanding, loving, and domineering.  These all show through at various times throughout the story.  There were times when I thought he would be jealous of a situation but ended up having a calm understanding of what was really going on.  Then he would show a domineering side in the bedroom when Jocelyn did something he wasn’t pleased with.  In all cases, however, he was always kind to her. Because of these different sides to Andrew, his reaction to some of the situations surprised me, which I really liked.  Initially I thought I had his character all figured out so it was a pleasant surprise that he wasn’t predicable. Jocelyn is independent but goes along with just about everything Andrew wants without much complaint.  These two characters seem to fit perfectly together.   Because they both have good heads on their shoulders, there is no unnecessary drama where there could be.  The author could have easily gone down that path and created friction made up by the characters imaginations going wild but she didn’t and I was happy to see that. There are a lot of sex scenes in this book and each of them is different.  All were hot!  The sex scenes all fit with the flow of the story.  It also showed how much Andrew cared about Jocelyn. As mentioned, this is the first book in the series but it wrapped up nicely with no major cliffhanger.  There is one hint near the end of the book as to which couple the next book could be about.  It was so subtle that it could easily be missed.  I liked how that was done because it does leave the reader curious about the next book but doesn’t leave you frustrated about what could be next.  This is the first book I have read by this author.  I am interested in reading her Blythe College series too because it looks like some of the characters in Sucked into Love make an appearance there too.

I loved this book. I loved the Blythe College series by Rochelle Paige and excepted to like Sucked Into Love. I was not disappointed, Sucked Into Love was another great story by Rochelle. I feel immediately in love with Jocelyn. She is a down to earth girl who has not had the greatest up bringing. Her mother passed away when she was younger and her father has checked out. Her best friend Cee Cee is a crazy fun girl. Jocelyn and Cee Cee have a great best friend relationship. To help Cee Cee out Jocelyn pretends to be a bachelorette so they can check out new trendy club that hosts bachelorette parties. What a way to pull you right into the story. At the fake bachelorette party, Jocelyn catches the eye of the owner Andrew. Andrew is a sexy ex hockey player. He sees Jocelyn is off limits because he thinks she is getting married. Jocelyn gets a job as the physical therapist for a hockey team. Her friend Alec plays for the team. She goes to Alec's house for a cookout. Andrew is Alec's brother. After a month of thinking of Jocelyn, when he sees her and finds out the bachelorette was fake, all bets are off. Andrew goes after what he wants. I loved that Andrew and Jocelyn have this instant connection. It was good that they got the whole fake bachelorette party issue out of the way pretty quickly. It's a great sweet story. Even though it is book one in the Bachelorette Party series, it does not have a cliffhanger. It's definitely a book to one click.

If you love a bossy, dominate, alpha male… This book will have you reaching for the ice to put out your fire! Andrew is a bit of a contradiction actually. From the first pages of his POV, he thumbs his nose at relationships, dismissing them as a hassle. Then one look at a caramel haired beauty and his ideas quickly begin to dissipate. Andrew’s luck is not with him however, because the beauty is celebrating her bachelorette party. However, as hard as he might try, he cannot shake her from his mind. Jocelyn has just returned home (I use that term loosely, because it is not really a place she can label that. You’ll have to read it to know more…) from earning her graduate degree in physical therapy. As a former skater, and with her knowledge through helping team trainers for hockey teams, she hopes to be hired on with Chicago’s junior league hockey team. Jocelyn is not a boring character, by any means, however, her best friend Ce-Ce definitely bakes the crazy cake. She convinces Josie to help her out with preparation in pitching her PR firm to a club that wants to cater to bachelorette parties. Eventually, she gets Josie to play the part of the “bride to be.” After a crazy night, life moves on. Ce-Ce get the account, Josie gets her job, and Andrew? Well… Turns out, Josie went to H.S. with Andrew’s brother. Fate brings them together again, and this time, with no “fiancé” in his way, Andrew shoves his way into Josie’s life without doubt that she will be his. Of course…he’s right.  Again, Andrew is a bit of a contradiction. His possessive, jealous, bossy, and demanding. But, he is also, sweet, loving, understanding, and most importantly, he is aware of his other flawed characteristics. This means that he actually makes and effort to tamper down his caveman instincts. Outside the bedroom that is. Inside the bedroom, he untethers himself from his control and lets his alpha instincts run the show. Josie is certainly not complaining…and damn, neither am I.  Their relationship is a fun ride for the reader. The passion will set your panties on fire, the love will melt your heat, and the personalities will have you giggling and endearing the characters to you for the long haul. I have never read a book by Rochelle Paige that I haven’t loved! It all started with Push the Envelope and Drake, who, as much as I love Andrew, has yet to be surpassed in my eyes. Each time she releases a book, I jump to read it and am never disappointed! I should warn you I don't mind "insta-love/like," but if you're not a fan, that may bother you in this book. However, it fits Andrew's personality so well, that I think you could easily overlook it.   Andrew and Josie get 5 thumbs up from this girl!

4.5 STARS! Holy alpha hotness! Sucked Into Love was such a fun, well written, sweet and sexy read. I read it in one sitting as I found it difficult to put down.  “I hope to hell you live up to the promise of you.” After years of being away from home, Jocelyn returns to her hometown as a physical therapist and lands her dream job. She is still hurt from her past, but is determined to move on now that she is back to the place she was sent away from so many years ago.  While she is back in town, her best friend, insists on a fake bachelorette party. Being the great friend that she is, she agrees. She ends up catching the eye of ex-NHL star turned business man, Andrew. But Andrew sees that she is taken, yet his interest is still there. About a month later, circumstances allow the two to meet again, and sparks fly. The connection between Andrew and Jocelyn was undeniable. They had such great chemistry. Written in dual POV, I thought the author did a great job in the development of their characters. Many people are not too fond of insta love. Not that I would too quick to categorize this as insta love, but the characters do fall quickly for each other. Or rather effortlessly. Yet it is genuine, real, and definitely believable. From the moment they meet and begin to get to know each other, they just fit. I found it to feel very natural between the two. No fluff needed. The author knew exactly what she was doing when she wrote these two.  “You belong with me because you are my home.” I loved every minute of Sucked Into Love. It kept me engaged the entire time from beginning to end. There was no unnecessary drama that tends to be in these kinds of books. Oh and can I just talk about Andrew? Again. He was so alpha, possessive, so hot, but also so romantic. I could not get enough of him. I’m definitely giving Sucked Into Love 4.5 STARS as it was such a fun, romantic, hot read. There was emotion, an interesting plot, and I could not put it down. I look forward to the rest of the books in this series.

Got sucked right into this story could not put it down and read it in one sitting. Jocelyn is going to be a pretend Bachelorette and have a party at a club. Andrew sees her across the room and instantly wants her but thinks she is taken. They meet again and he finds out she is not married and it was a fake party to test out the club. Andrew decides right then he wants her and will have her. Throughout their relationship there are good and bad times. But can they work out the differences and come together in the end? Jocelyn does not believe that Andrew really wants her or will stay with her. Can't wait for the next book in this series. Highly recommend this story

Sucked into Love is a story about two people who share an undeniable connection and how they fall in love. It is the first book I have ever read from Rochelle Paige and I thought it was truly enjoyable. I thought it was quirky, sweet and an incredibly charming book. Josie and Andrew are both ready to make commitments in their lives but regarding totally different aspects of their futures. Josie is finally done with her education and is excited to start her career in sports rehabilitation. She is trying to obtain her dream job and to put all of her hard work to good use. She is not looking for relationship and thanks to her past, she has intimacy and commitment issues. Andrew is at a completely different point in his life. After retiring from his pro hockey career, he used his celebrity athletic status and earnings to open several popular restaurants. He has achieved quite a bit of career success but is looking to find a partner to share it all with. Andrew is tired of one night stands and hooking up with women who do not intrigue him. Right from the start the relationship seems like it will be filled with miscommunication and mishaps. However, instead of the book being ridiculous and drama filled, it's a heart-warming love story with characters you can relate to and connect with. There are normal life occurrences and dilemmas but your rooting for the couple to overcome them all. I absolutely adored Josie and Andrew and I definitely recommend you check out their book. I look toward to the other books in this series.

RP has written another great alpha!  What a yummy book-boyfriend!  Excellent read!  I thought this would be a quick bit of fluff, and I did read it quickly, but it was a lot more book than I expected!
