Growing up with his grandmother in a small town in the foothills of the Himalayas, Sudarshan longs to see the world and escape the confines of his small surroundings. Most of all, he desires to find out what happened to his father, who deserted him after the death of his mother when he was an infant. He grows to manhood and finally finds his father in England. He learns a terrible truth from him, a truth that threatens to destroy his faith in humanity, until he comes to forgiveness. This is a story about the many faces of love, and the myriad facets of the truth.

Aviott John is an Indian-born Austrian author currently living in Vienna. He lived for two years on an island near Hong Kong, where his most recent novel, "Grace in the South China Sea," is based.
