Overview

Sugar Angels by James Schubring

Book 2 of The Unlucky Travels of Ben Appert

Ben Appert and Garrett Lathman, another travel writer, visit and film part of a candy convention in Los Angeles. The place isn't all Willy Wonka, though. Some clever drug smugglers have also purchased tickets, but for a less edifying purpose. Ben's in trouble soon after his ordeal in Yellowstone and he's not prepared for big-time trouble.

Sugar Angels is a little bit of hostage taking, some unraveling of knotted mysteries, a lot of lying, some laughs, and some blood.

About the Author

James Schubring lives in Montana now, but did spend some time as a resident (inmate?) of Los Angeles. He even worked a booth at the Los Angeles Convention Center for several days. Unfortunately what he was selling at the time was a lot less interesting than chocolate.

He has published five prior mystery novels, including Crook Salad, the first book in the Ben Appert series. Please visit his website at JamesSchubring.com for all the details. He maintains a newsletter for his fans; you can sign up on his website.
