"Sugar So Sweet" is writer Candis Yeah's first book. In this book, she uses poetry as a medium to evoke powerful images of self-exploration, love, heartbreak, revolution, corruption and redemption. Readers are taken on a journey into some of the deepest quagmires of the human condition, and discover that they are able to relate to the stories these poems tell.

About the Author
Amidst the endless bricks and violence that encapsulated her neighborhood on Chicago's South Side, Candis Yeah learned at an early age that words and positive thinking have the power to inspire an individual to transcend his/her present circumstances. After her family relocated to an affluent suburb, she discovered that financial security does not ensure one's happiness. Having witnessed the suffering of people from various ethnical, economical, and social backgrounds, Candis decided to devote her life to helping people heal themselves. For majority of her adulthood, Candis has worked in a social service capacity building up individuals and strengthening families. She now hopes to utilize her writing and hard-won lessons to encourage people to strive for greatness even in the face of adversity. Candis holds a degree in English with a minor in history, and plans to study family law in the near future. She is married to her first love, and they are building a life together in Atlanta, Georgia.
