An office worker plans his own suicide party...A fading starlet goes to unnatural lengths for a comeback....One man finds that in times of trouble, it's easiest just to be kidnapped... R.T. Barnes offers the reader catharsis in the dark places between joy and despair, sanity and madness, the real and the unreal. Fast paced, deeply odd and often hilarious, Suicide of the Month is a must read."The stories owe an existential debt to Kafka or Beckett... simple prose underscores Barnes' sublime take on the absurdity of modern life. It's a fun read..." Josh Brandon, Mud and Water

This kind of reminded me of Jon Stewart's Naked Pictures of Famous People. Very funny, simple prose, really easy to read, a little shocking at times. The title story is hilarious, if you've ever worked in an office you'll know what I mean. Thoroughly enjoyed it over a rainy weekend.
