If you liked the Magnificent Seven, you'll love the Rock Creek Six! Six elite Confederate soldiers band together after the War Between the States, hiring out their guns to protect lawless towns. Violence is all they know, until they make their way to Rock Creek, Texas. For Eden Rourke, making her way from a sheltered life in Georgia to rough and tumble Rock Creek is an easy decision, if not an easy journey. A tenderhearted woman, she's always been driven to help those in need, including the half-breed Sinclair Sullivan who's been ambushed and beaten directly in the path of her wagon. Coincidence? She thinks not. When Sullivan discovers that the woman who saved him is Jed Rourke's sister, he feels obligated to escort her to Rock Creek. He tells himself that once she's there she'll be Jed's problem, not his, but Eden is not only tender and unfailingly optimistic, she's persistent. And she's decided that Sinclair Sullivan is meant to be hers. Eden doesn't believe in coincidence, but she does believe in fate.

About the Author

After publishing more than seventy books, I’ve finally admitted to myself that I just can’t make up my mind about what, exactly, I want to write. Since 1994 I’ve written romance in several different sub-genres. Historical; fairy tale; romantic suspense; paranormal; fantasy; contemporary. As so many authors do, I write what speaks to me in that moment. Who knows what will come next?

Whatever the genre, I believe the perfect romance should provide a tear and a couple of laughs, a chill or two, and by the time the story is over, the reader should be left with a smile and the feeling that all is right with the world in that moment.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the story you just read. For more information please check out my website at You can sign up for my newsletter there, if you'd like. Free to drop me a note at, or visit me on Facebook at or I'm also on Twitter, @LWJbooks.

Best Regards,

Loved the story, from the beginning to the end, and all the characters and plot in between. Definitely on my 'will be re-read' pile. I very rarely hand out 5 stars, but this book is worth them all.

Save money and time BUY box sets to read in order. Loved the series. Characters and plot flowed perfect though the six books, no mistakes in her story telling from book to book. I laughed and cried. Well one mistake but cute I don't think "frigin" was know as a word in 1870 's. Linda Jones books are mild romance!

Opposites Attract................................ Eden is a bit of a Pollyanna who tries to find the good in everyone. Sullivan is one of the Rock Creek Six A group of Quasi gunslingers. He is a little on the cranky side. So needless to say they can barely keep their hands off each other. Fortunately her brother Jed----- also a Rock Creek Six member----- is there to keep them apart. He doesn't do to well at it but in all fairness people are trying to kill her and that is distracting. Really good story. Highly recommend.
