Drama sketches in this collection are targeted to the unchurched and focused on such issues as loneliness, anger, marital breakdown, stress, dysfunctional families, sex, money, and power.
Drama is one of the most powerful ways to reach the unchurched. Why? Because we live in a visually oriented culture. Because we watch hours of cable TV, videos, and movies. Because drama reaches us, visually and emotionally, where we are. Realizing the power of drama, hundreds of churches across America are now using innovative drama sketches in their services. But they have had a problem: Where could they find high-quality, tested drama scripts? Willow Creek Resources has responded to that need with the Sunday Morning Live series of drama sketches. Each sketch in the series was first presented at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, which averages an attendance of 15,000 people weekly. These sketches, specially written to reach the unchurched, raise questions. They make their audience laugh or cry. And they act as a "set up " to the message given by the pastor, opening the audience to hear God's Word on issues like stress, marriage, and power. There's no more powerful tool to reach the unchurched than drama. And with the Sunday Morning Live series, you have the materials to act on it now!
