Sunny Side Up

Atlantic recording artist Paolo Nutini returns with his eagerly awaited second album Sunny Side Up. Produced by Ethan Johns (Kings Of Leon, Ryan Adams, Ray LaMontagne), Sunny Side Up sees Nutini continuing to mine his arresting brand of soulful modern pop. Songs such as "Ten Out Of Ten" and "Coming Up Easy" display the gifted tunesmith's ever-growing knack for irrepressible melodies melded with insightful and intimate lyricism, all held together by Paolo's gritty and unpredictable vocal stylings. But awesome!!! I just received my copy in the mail today, and I was so happy! Paolo is an amazing singer because he has soul and puts his heart into his music. My favorite song is "Candy". It's so beautiful!! It may be hard to get into if you're expecting it to be just like "These Streets", but I still loved it. Paolo rocks!!

He is a jewel in today's shallow music industry. His musical depth is quite impressive for such a young musician. I can see that he is sincere to his artistry not seeking just a commercial success and that he is open minded as well and eager to get better. I will definately continue to support him as a faithful fan of his.

I can't say enough about Paolo Nutini - this was my first purchase of his (after seeing him on Graham Norton's show-BBC) Pencil Full of Lead had me intrigued. I loved this album so much I went back and picked up his first as well. An interesting mix of Folk & Pop his music sits true and his lyrics are wise beyond his years. You can definitely hear the impressions that the world's music has had on him. I'm hooked!

This is a lot different than Nutini's first "These Streets" CD. Once you get over that fact, you can begin to really appreciate this CD, for what it is; original, fun, though provoking and just down right enjoyable to listen to. I hope this young man, with such an incredibly versatile voice, continues to bring us his art for many years to come.
