About the Author

Gertrude Chandler Warner (1890–1979) was an American author of children’s books, most notably the nineteen original titles in the Boxcar Children Mysteries series. Warner was raised in Putnam, Connecticut, across the street from a railroad station, which later inspired her to write about children living in a boxcar. In 1918, she began what would become a thirty-two-year career teaching first and third grade at the Israel Putnam School. She died in Putnam on August 30, 1979, when she was eighty-nine years old. But the Boxcar Children live on: To this day, talented authors contribute new stories to the series, which now includes over one hundred twenty books.

Unlike other childrens books, all the boxcar children books are usually good for younger readers. But that doesnt mean tweens and teens cant read them!

Hazelpaw grumpily stomped back to camp, fur ruffled the wrong way. She now began to notice even more how horrible WaterClan is and how amazing ScorchClan is. A sharp bramble thorn would snag around her paw and dig deep into her pad whereas all the dangers in ScorchClan is hidden under a layers of soft, green pine needles that made the air bloom in its arouma. Hazelpaw was slowly turning from the sweet little appretice she was to a bitter one- the more she thought about Flamestar's refusal for her to join, her mood turned sour and she began to think about how ugly WaterClan is compared to ScorchClan.
*I /need/ to join that Clan! I can feel it in my blood, it's my destiny. ScorchClan was made for me!* She didn't know why she felt so strongly about this.
"It's a girl!" The joyous voice of Ripplestar announced from the nursery. Hazelpaw was slouched by the fresh-kill pike, choking down a fish.
"That's great, Ripplestar. We all wanted to know that useful fact," she muttered sarcastically to herself as she tore off a slippery chunk of salty flesh. *I hate fish. That's all WaterClan has on our fresh-kill pile; fish, fish, fish.* She gagged as a hunk of slimy meat slipped down her throat before she was ready. *I gotta get out of here... I need that kit to turn in to Flamestar.*
(In case you guys didn't know, Super Editions are meant to be short. So that's why I wrote them only a couple pages long! Epilogue of Winterberry's Struggle is out... ;-; Keep watch for Mintcloud's Shadow, the sequel!)
-&#1071|Reflections&#9830
