Supra-Conscious Leadership: New Thinking for a New Worldby James N. Farr, Edward E. Crutchfield (Foreword by)
The leadership void in contemporary society is no accident, says James Farr in Supra-Conscious Leadership: New Thinking For A New World. While some of our leaders are skilled at solving problems, few have taken time of examine the presuppositions that are the foundations of their decisions. They allow mindsets established in childhood to determine their current thinking. Our leaders solve immediate problems without recognizing the long-term effects of their actionsthus, we’ve eroded the ozone layer, polluted our water supply, and fostered international crises. Our preconceived notions clog the wheels of change and true progress.
Farr offers a solution. He beckons trailblazers to reevaluate what it means to be a leader. He challenges us to create accredited leadership training programs, establish a code of ethics for leaders, and hold leaders accountable for their actions. Farr invites us to become supra-conscious leaders capable of meeting the challenges of our increasingly complex world.
