About the Author

Cynthia Wright is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the two Rakes & Rebels series, 11 intertwining historical romances starring the irresistible Raveneau & Beauvisage families. She has also written beloved series set during the Renaissance and in the American West. Romantic Times Magazine hails Cynthia's novels as "Romance the way it was meant to be."

Cynthia’s newest novel is THE SECRET OF LOVE, set in 1808 Cornwall and France. Lady Isabella Trevarre and Gabriel St. Briac join forces (and stir passions) while searching for a priceless Leonardo da Vinci painting stolen by Napoleon's henchmen. THE SECRET OF LOVE will be published in December, 2016.

Currently, Cynthia is at work on the story of Mouette Raveneau and Justin St. Briac, her first “older” couple, who come to their tempestuous relationship with plenty of baggage, defenses, and hidden longings. HIS MAKE-BELIEVE BRIDE will be published in the summer of 2017.

Cynthia lives in northern California. She enjoys riding a tandem bike and taking road trips in an airstream trailer with her Colombian-born husband, Alvaro & their corgi, Watson. She is also devoted to her two adorable grandsons who live nearby.

This is my favorite book of Cynthia's so far! Everything was perfect - the story, the historical backdrop, the intrigue, and the romance! This was a very romantic story with the ending being the most romantic I have ever read. Truly! You should definitely get Surrender the Stars and read it!! Cynthia Wright is a wonderful writer.

Lindsey Raveneau (daughter of the adventureseome Andre & Devon Raveneau) meets her match in Ryan when they embark on a somewhat undercover journey to London. You'll love meeting Lindsey and Ryan and re-acquainting with Andre and Devon. Cynthia Wright wins again with characters you enjoy, historical fun and intrigue and leaves you hanging for that next book.

I loved Silver Storm, so Surrender the Stars, with Andre & Devon Raveneau as the parents of the heroine, Lindsay, was just excellent! And, it's set in Regency England, which Cynthia Wright captures so well. The hero, Ryan Coleraine, is a rake and a privateer captain (like Raveneau) and when the Raveneau family have to go to England to spy during the War of 1812, Ryan goes along and pretends to be their son. It's lots of fun and very romantic because he is all man but has to masquerade as a fop, and he and Lindsay are supposed to be brother and sister, living together with her parents, but they are falling in love. So great to spend time with Devon & Andre again - and Ryan & Lindsay make a fantastic couple! I hated to leave them at the end.

MY FAVORITE OF THE REVENEAU AND BEAUVISAGE STORIES! I won't go into what the story is about as other's have done it so well, but this is an amazing story. Even though others have stated it can stand alone, I want to say yes, it can, BUT, you will be doing yourself a disservice because the character's from the other books are woven into not only this one, but the others. I bought the bundle or RAVENEAU AND BEAUVISAGE novels, and this is the way to go because you start out with the RAVENEAU and then go into the novels of BEAUVISAGE and then back to RAVENEAU, it is richer in understanding the stories to do the reading order as the author has stated. This one appealed to be the most I thing because of the way their loved grew for each other. I loved the bantering they did with each other, made me laugh out loud. This is truly a beautifully told romance, with action, suspense, secrets abound, and twists I didn't see coming. Add this to your must read list, you won't be disappointed. Again, the bundles are the way to go. (ljb)

– Cynthia Wright is great with the adventure, suspense and romance she creates for her characters. Ryan Coletraine is a spy for America and is brought to London in the disguise of Lindsay’s brother Nathan. Lindsey is the daughter of Revered Sea Captain and Spy, Devon and Andre Raveneau. Romance develops and Nathan and Lindsey have to discover how information is getting to London to create difficulties for America. This was a very difficult book to put down once started

I have read most of the books in this series and I love them. Great storyline and characters with interesting and unique plots.

Ryan is so different from the brooding angry hero you'd come to expect in a romance/adventure. He knows what he wants and acknowledges his feelings with no hesitation. But still very manly. Makes me want to take him home and meet my mama. If only I'm Lindsay. Good read!

Another fantastic book by Cynthia Wright! Her books just keep getting better and better; never want to put them down once you get started. Great characters, great romantic story. I never tire of reading her books.

This is an interesting story that begins in America and ends in England. The adventure is good. Ryan is smart. I like that the Reveneau's from Silver Storm are included. The book is about 348 pages followed by excerpts from several other stories. The romance was great without being explicit. This is the second book of the Reveneau trilogy. Adventure on land and sea.

Lindsey Raveneau thinks that her life is planned out. She will be a prim and proper school mistress. Her happily married parents, Devon and Andre have led a remarkably adventurous life together. Lindsay fervently believes that she did not inherit any of the Raveneau wanderlust. Ryan Colerain is a successful & dashing privateer for Andre¿s shipping company. He is the type of man Lindsey has always thought of as an ill-mannered rogue. The two are brought together under strained circumstances when the British navy attacks the port of her home town. Completely out of character, Lindsey makes a daring attempt to save her fathers livelihood. Her actions do not go over well with Ryan and so their mutual antagonism begins. With Andre¿s company temporarily out of business, he decides to accept a previously offered request to move to London and begin spying in an effort to put an early end to the war. It is decided that his entire family can be of assistance as well. Andre¿s son, Nathan is unavailable, so of course, he thinks of Ryan as the perfect substitute. Devon and Andre are unaware that Lindsey and Ryan are acquainted, and are even more surprised to learn that the two seem to hate one another. It¿s agreed though that since they will have to masquerade as brother and sister anyway, their mutual dislike will make their act as siblings even more realistic.Once in London, Lindsey and Ryan find themselves falling in love, despite the fact that she is charged with finding a husband and he must parade around as an obnoxious dandy.Ryan brings out her passionate soul and Lindsey brings out his warmth and tenderness. As much as they would love to, they can never forget that they must first discover the traitors who wish to destroy the fledgling American country before claiming their own happiness. Pretty soon they can only share secretive, stolen moments in the dark of night. Intuitive Devon finds out about the love birds and tries to keep Andre in the dark, which accounts for some funny scenes. Trying to pass off the virile Ryan as a fop is also hilarious. The book moves at a steady pace while the plot continues to thicken. The lovers find that danger lurks from every avenue. Discovery could not only put the entire mission in jeopardy but cost them their lives as well. This book was great fun to read.

SURRENDER THE STARS, the second Raveneau entry in Cynthia Wright's Rakes and Rebels series pits Andre and Devon's youngest daughter, Lindsay against dashing privateer Ryan Coleraine. Lindsay has always been the quiet, serious Raveneau, quite different from the rest of her adventurous family. However, when she meets sea captain Ryan Coleraine, sparks fly. When they are thrown together, with Ryan posing as Lindsay's brother Nathan, to help the family spy in London, Lindsay is quite unhappy. As they find themselves in unfamiliar world of the London ton, Lindsay and Ryan discover passion and love, which can be quite hard to share when you are masquerading as brother and sister! SURRENDER THE STARS is an excellent addition to the Rakes and Rebels series. It is great fun reading about the next generation of Raveneaus and discovering the passions of Andre and Devon are still going strong. Wright seamlessly incorporates the history of the time and her attention to detail allows the reader to get truly lost in the story.

Love this series of "Rogues". I do think ,however, that lyndsey acts immature by calling ryan names before they fell in love. The act of hate got a little monotonous on her part. They finally fall in love but wish it could have been sooner. Also at her wedding to ryan sabastian was introduced as a family friend when he us really lyndsey's half-brother. Why? Liiked the story tho.

So beautifully written. The reader can see the sights, smell the food and scenery and enjoy the countryside as if you were there. Fun, love an excitement.
