Innocence and naiveté make Amy Jones a rare breed among exotic dancers. She does the job reluctantly...but there's no hesitation when she meets a mesmerizing, sophisticated stranger while on holiday. Under his skilled hand, she'll learn the depth of her own strength even as she surrenders to his masterful control.

Successful businessman James North avoids a dark past by hiding behind an enviable career and rigid control--over his business and pleasure. One night with blonde goddess Amy, however, and the blazing attraction that erupts between them throws his ordered black-and-white world into multiple shades of ecstasy.

When innocence and experience collide, the volcanic explosion may burn everything in its path...including the couple's fledgling love.

About the Author

Anna Edwards is a British author, from the east coast 50 miles from London. She has a love of travelling and developing plot lines for stories. She has spent the last two years learning and practising the skills needed for writing novels. In a previous life she was an Accountant from the age of twenty-one. She still acts in that capacity on a limited basis intermingled with looking after her husband, two children and two cats (probably in the inverse order to the one listed!). When she has spare time she can also be found writing poetry and experimenting with different dishes to cook for her family.

Her novels are set in some of the places that she has visited to give them an International feel. Surrendered Control combines two of her favourite travel destinations. Lanzarote is a popular holiday destination where many a summer has been spent in Playa Blanca sampling the food and the sun and, of course, the wine. India is where she lived for eighteen months with her husband and two children. Her young son was only six months old when she travelled there. It was a fabulous time for the family and they learnt so much about the differing cultures, as well as the author, much to her husband’s chagrin, spending lots of money in the silk shops.

She has many ideas for future novels which she hopes readers will enjoy. She has also written many role play scenarios with other like minded friends based around the Three Musketeers timeline on Twitter. This work allowed her to indulge in another favourite area of historical fact based fiction which she hopes to continue in the future.

There are some books that you can’t put down, that stay with you long after you finish reading and leave you needing more. Surrendered Control is that type of book. Anna Edwards does a masterful job at extracting every emotion possible from a reader. The character development and world development of this book is incredible. The journey and heartache of both main characters cannot adequately be described in a review; I can only say that this is one of the best books I’ve read. It had a true level of complexity between two people in a relationship that is rarely seen. The path through this book was so addictive that I had to surrender control and finish it in one setting regardless of the fact I needed sleep. It was absolutely addictive and Anna Edwards is now on my favorite author list. I immediately bought book 2 because I need more. I highly recommend this book.

A one-night stand that turned into so much more! Anna definitely has a talent for writing emotions and an intriguing element of suspense. The story is steamy from beginning to end, and this story is continued in the next book, Divided Control. I was really rooting for Amy. She sort of had the rug pulled out from under her when the was betrayed by the one person she trusted. Everything went downhill from there (I'm trying not to spoil anything!!!) Enter James, who is a total alpha who wants nothing more than to shelter and protect Amy. The lengths he goes to while ensuring her safety and comfort are very endearing. I, personally, felt the story was kind of rushed and told in a way that, to me, was sort of stiff. Maybe that's a result of the cultural differences between myself and the author, but I felt a lot of the story was sort of stated matter-of-factly instead of woven and elaborated on. While I am, admittedly, a jaded book blogger, I also feel that a lot of romance novel clichés were used throughout. But the premise of the story is very interesting, and I wonder what happens to Amy and James in the next book? (I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
