STONEFIRE DRAGONS BOOK 7
Nikki Gray has reason to hate the dragon hunters--they brutally murdered one of her friends a year ago. Not only that, they have caused havoc on several of the British dragon clans, injuring countless individuals. Determined to defeat the hunters by kidnaping their leader, Simon Bourne, she teams up with a human male in the UK Special Forces. After six months of work, they're finally ready to carry out their mission and capture Bourne. However, one kiss derails their plans and changes their lives forever.

At the request of his sister, Rafe Hartley agrees to work with the dragon-shifters. After all, the dragon hunters are a pain in his arse and the fewer of them, the better. The woman assigned as his Stonefire liaison, however, is the same one he hurt four years ago in Afghanistan. Pushing aside their past, they learn to work together. Yet with each passing encounter, he is drawn to the lively, stubborn woman. He finally gives in to his attraction and kisses the dragonwoman. What follows turns his life upside down.

Rafe and Nikki must now decide what to do with their futures. Can they still work together and find a way to capture Simon Bourne? Or, will their fated kiss result in a divide that can't be healed?

Perfect blend of fast paced, great characters and memorable moments. Lead characters were charming, funny and interesting. Characters from previous books made appearance's and blended well with the story. Looking forward to more of this clans story.

I really enjoy all of Jessie Donovin's dragon shifter series. I gave it only 4 stars because I felt there wasn't as much action & suspence as her other books. I was waiting for the other shoe to drop & it never did. However it was a great love story & had a great plot.y

I love this series. I especially loved Nikki and Rafes story. They are both feisty, stubborn and headstrong but never give in to their anger and allow love to guide their way to trusting each other and making a force team together rather then against each other. I can't wait to learn more about Aaron and Teagan. And I would love to see a happy ending for Gwen too. Thanks for these wonderful stories about dragon shifters as they find their mates and all the challenges and rewards that go along with it. I've loved reading every one of the stories in both dragon series and look forward to many more ?

As always Ms Donovan has gifted us with another can't-put-down-read! When I read the blurb I couldn't figure out how one lousy (or in this case hot as heck) kiss could change lives. Now I know. And ain't it grand? These two unlikely lovers are unique, stubborn, loyal and strong emotionally as well as physically. Both soldiers, I love the times Ms. takes Mr. down. It is so different with having the female dragon and the male human--what a wonderful story. They are so strong with heartbreaking histories getting to know each other has blockades that must be broken down. Watching the male dragons around Nikki try to stare down Rafe is both funny and rewarding to see him stand his ground. The dangers to their love are legal and physical as well as emotional. The dragon Hunters brought them together, will they tear them apart or worse take their lives? The mate claim is strong, however there is little time to recover with the missions pressing. How will they deal with the results? Their love story is touching and scary. Not only does Rafe have to win his lady love--she has a clan of dragons—the legal system against him. Is he up to the task? If he can win over Nikki's dragon he'll have a strong ally. And once again the dragon's internal conversations with her human is sometimes funny, sometimes profound and just good sense—when she isn't trying to get more sex. Yes, female dragons are just as sex-minded as the males. Another opportunity to revisit some of our favorite old friends and make new ones. This is a not to miss read as are all of Jessie Donovan books. Enjoy this strong recommend. I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

Awesome story. Totally entertaining! This is the story of Nikola (Nikki) Gray and Rafe Hartley. For reason we find out later in the book, these two get off to a very rocky start. But with just one kiss Nikki finds out that Rafe is her true mate, whether she like it or not. Now she has to decide to either go through months of pain or let Rafe impregnate her. But Nikki won’t go down without a fight and refuses to give up her life as a protector of the clan. On top of all that, even if she wanted to keep Rafe, it’s illegal for a Dragonwoman to take a human male as a mate. Lot of action and adventure happens in this well written and very entertaining story.

Donovan returns to Stonefire with a novel that will knock your socks off. Vivid descriptions bring this vividly crafted world to life as readers are kept on their toes with plot twists and turns galore. I love how readers are front and centre as laws are being made & the status quos are being challenged. This intricately crafted world is ever changing as events occur to change previous beliefs and necessities. It’s all so real. At the same time, suspense runs high and danger lurks around the corner. Topped off with sizzling chemistry and hot romance, how can one go wrong? I love how approachable yet larger than life the characters in this novel are. The role reversal in this one was priceless. Donovan flipped the entire male/female shifter roles while also maintaining an alpha male to beat all alphas. The Rafe/Kai animosity was integral in showing Rafe’s personality (and just plain comical to boot). His past with respect to dragons was heartbreaking but his strength admirable. And the way that he redirects his alpha instincts around Nikki? Fantastic! I enjoyed seeing Nikki’s inner thoughts. The different ways that she felt she needed to prove herself and her unique place in the clan was fascinating. Reliving Nikki’s past was emotional and shocking. It really served to create a connection with the character. The relationship between these two was awesome. The mate claim frenzy was as hot as ever, but the way that they truly got to know one another took it to a whole new level. Donovan has once again created a suspenseful and sizzling hot novel that had me surrendering to it. She pulled me into the intricate and unforgettable world that she’s created to escape reality for a short while. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

This is a story of the Lochguard Dragons of the Scottish branch of dragons. I love these books and I think this one was better than the last one. Fergus, one of the twins related to the clan leader, is fascinated with a pregnant human and can't stop watching her. One day while in his dragon form he is watching and he sees her grab her abdomen as if in pain. He swoops down and changes to human and runs to her to help her. She seems to be having labor pains so he calls his sister in law to help. His twin brings her, Holly, and she assesses the human who's name is Gina. Gina doesn't want to need help as she has secrets to hide and doesn't want to take chances with her baby but Holly determines that Gina is not in the best shape and needs to go to the clan clinic for hydration. Gina knows the only way she can be safe is to convince Finn, the leader, to take her in. She is American and on the run from the jerk who impregnated her. Fergus is thinking that Gina is his mate as his dragon is about to drive him crazy. He knows he has to move carefully because Gina is so skittish even though he can tell she's attracted to him too. This book is fast paced and has surprises that are evident in the beginning. There is an appearance of the Stonefire Dragons from England, and some collaboration with another small clan when they come under attack. I had a hard time putting this down as it is so well written the reader is totally engrossed. I can't wait for the next book and hope we get to hear more of some of the attractions started in this one.
