You MUST read this book if you like thrillers! I literally could NOT put this down. If you like Tom Clancy, Brad Thor, you will truly enjoy this book. Plan on gettin cozy and reading NON-STOP, it's that good!

Surrounded by Witnesses is a good read, a 'page turner' that is hard to put down. The plot puts terrorists in an unexpected place, Central Minnesota in winter, and involves local people from 'small town America.' Our Book Club is reading it and I expect the discussion to be interesting.

This book caught my attention at the first page and held it all the way to the end. Great character development, technical information and descriptions, plots and sub-plots. As a lifelong Texan, I was finally able to appreciate (if that's the right word!) the bitter cold of a Minnesota snow storm. I didn't want this book to end and highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys non-stop action in a political/techno thriller.

Excellent visualization and great pace to Fosters second novel. As it draws to a conclusion you want it to continue. Minnesota characters are depicted in a typical Minnesota Nice characterization with an true underlying toughness.

Most of the action takes place in Central and North Western Minnesota. The unique Characters, and Sub Plots are very well integrated, and there are some most interesting twists, and turns. I read the book cover to cover without putting it down, my wife suggested I should give her that much attention!!!!!

This is one of those books that finds you glancing at the clock in the early morning hours and saying to yourself 'Okay, I'll just finish this chapter and then I'll get some sleep'. A couple of chapters later you're saying the same thing again. It's about a family of terrorists whose car runs off the road in a Minnesota snowstorm. Assisted by a local couple with lodging until their car can be extracted from the snow, they are overwhelmed by the hospitality and friendship offered by their American benefactors and their neighbors. But why are they here? Where are they going? What are they plotting? Why bring the family? The book keeps you riveted as you learn the answers. It's full of action and suspense, with some heart warming episodes in it as well. Mr. Foster does an excellent job grabbing the reader from the first chapter and holding on through the end. The story grows more engrossing with each turn as you get a real feel for each of the characters and care what happens to them. If you like action filled stories with international terrorists and everyday people finding themselves in extraordinary circumstances, you're gonna love this book!
