I loved it and the whole series. I might have wanted to strangle Chloe a few times but you really can't blame it for the way she acted.

The evil lurks closer than ever This is the last book of this series from Janie Crouch. Chloe Jeffries is the creative force behind one of the most popular shows on television, using the constant stream of voices in her head to push her creativity. Delving into the voices she picks up the most promising thoughts and uses them to fuel the show. But now Chloe is up against two threats, a voice that gets to her and makes her sick and a stalker on the set of the show. Her sister, Adrienne, hires a security company, she had worked with, to establish the best security possible. Ex-Special Forces soldier Shane Westman agrees to help out his friend, ex-comrade and future employer by taking care of this issue. Not wanting to play bodyguard for a pampered star, he soon learns that there is more going on than he and the others thought. Shane gets slowly under Chloes skin and the other way round, but Chloe has her secrets to protect and to write the shows finale. The threat is not only close, but keeps getting closer to the team. As already with the second book, I could not put the book down and read it in one go. The story is very well written and captivating. You find yourself eagerly waiting for the puzzle to piece together in order to learn who the stalker is, eliminate the threat and his motive. The final chapters are page-turners where you have action and more action. The book has a supernatural touch, psychic ability, that is a big part of the story. I, myself, am not a believer in supernatural things, but I do believe that there is something more sometimes and therefore I was open. While, the ability, in Primal Instinct, kept me more fascinated, this was still intriguing. The romantic feelings between both characters were developing in the right speed. Both characters had flaws and issues from the past like true human beings which made it easier to build a connection with them and the case of the stalker as well as the tormenting voice are great. The book is more of a crime thriller, but with a sweet romance. Primal Instinct had been a great read and this s as well. Hope that the author releases the spin-off as promised. Will continue reading the authors books.

Danger lurks at every turn! An exciting story line takes us through the twists and turns of a woman who hears voices in her head, can't figure out who they are or where the danger is coming from, but knows it has control of her to do with as it wishes! A sexy brooding ex-soldier steps in as a temporary bodyguard and ends up falling hard! A great mystery to try to solve along the way! Chloe Jeffries enjoys her job as the creator of a paranormal tv show, and it just so happens that she has a wealth of built in story line ideas based on the voices she hears in her head! Lately one of the voices has begun to sound quite deranged and is taking too much out of her when he appears. The set is also in turmoil after an apparent stalker has begun to torment her lead actress. She's not happy about it, but the studio sends in some extra security to make sure the set is safe ... at least she wasn't happy about it until she caught sight of said security! Shane Westman is trying to get his life calmed down and back in order after leaving the Army. He's far from settled at this point, but he finds it hard pressed not to do a favor when one of his Special Op buddies asks for it, so he winds up being a glorified baby sitter to some Hollywood bombshell on a TV set. Only once he arrives on set and meets the show creator Chloe and the rest of the writing staff does he realize that something more sinister than ugly fan mail is going on here. As he grows close to Chloe and gets her to trust in his safety, the voices start to affect her even more and they know the tormentor is closing in!

Once again, Ms Crouch gives us a story that is not only engaging, suspenseful, and a whodunit filled with paranormal , but also a story that is tender and touching. Both main characters , Chloe and Shane, are imperfect and loving. Chloe , a tv writer with a very successful show, has a gift or for her , at times a curse. She hears voices . Something that aside from her friend Nadine, and her sisters, no one knows about. But now, she not only is becoming ill because of one of those voices, but the show is getting threatening notes and a stalker. In comes Shane, a recently retired Army Ranger , who after a great loss of his teammates, is about to begin his first civilian job as security advisor and bodyguard in the set of the show. The chemistry and relationship between Shane and Chloe is wonderful. He “gets” her and once she reveals her “gift” , he is wise enough to understand that she is special and not weird. Let’s just say that till the end, you will be going on a rollercoaster ride with the stalker and the romance. Another winner by this talented author. I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This is another awesome read from Janie Crouch. The size of her talent is only surpassed by her generous heart. 100% of the pre-sales are going g fight Cystic Fibrosis. Check out Tia's Troopers on Facebook for more information. In this third and final installment of the Instinct series, triplet Chloe keeps her special gift under wraps. After all, nearly everyone she's told thinks she's crazy because normal people don't hear voices, do they? Until now, those voices have given her plenty of fodder for her wildly popular TV show. But a new voice has emerged, a stalker she can't silence. She pities the woman this man is obsessed with until she realizes that woman is her. And if that wasn't terrifying enough, the little things going wrong around the show's set start to escalate. Is her stalker responsible, or is something or someone else to blame? Shane has yet to start his new career after mustering out of the military, but he agrees to take on a security assignment for his future boss since he's in the area finalizing his late grandmother's estate. Babysitting isn't his thing, but he doesn't have anything else going on so why not? There’s plenty of tension and animosity between the two until the sabotage turns deadly and forces them to rely on each other. I like to think I'm smarter than most authors, but not this time. Janie kept me guessing right up to the reveal. This is a must read!
