About the Author

Check Freedman is the COO of Captive Audience Prevention Training and Recovery Team. She has decades of operational experience including executive protection of clients in overseas locations, surveillance, counter surveillance, survival, evasion, resistance, escape, armed and unarmed combat. Freedman is currently the NHQ, Senior Program Manager for Critical Incident Stress Management and Resiliency for the United States Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol).

Billy Jensen is the CEO of Captive Audience Prevention Training and Recovery Team. He is a Personnel (Hostage) Recovery Professional and honorably retired Special Forces Soldier (Green Beret). During active duty, he spent more than a decade on assignments as a Special Forces Intelligence NCO. Billy has worked as an anti-terrorism instructor and is highly trained in terrorist and criminal network analysis. Billy is currently certified as a Crisis Hostage Negotiator, Critical Incident Stress Debriefer, Private Investigator, Locksmith, Martial Artist, Master Scuba Diver, and Certified Missing and Exploited Child Investigator. Billy has a Bachelors in Science and is a Masters of Arts Graduate of Norwich University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Community Counseling and Traumatology.

Jack Cambria is a former member of the NYPD who contributed 34 years of exemplary service. He has served in various ranks and assignments including patrol, the Emergency Service Unit and the Hostage Negotiation Team, of which he is their longest tenured commander. He now teaches negotiation, de-escalation and active shooter survival strategies for corporations at the local, national and international level.
