When the past collides with the present, will they be able resist the temptation, or will they finally realize that they're where they're meant to be?

About the Author

Tessa Teevan is a twenty-something book junkie who is also obsessed with sports and music. She’s a research analyst by day, reads/writes by night, and is married to a guy 15 inches taller than her, making them quite the pair!

They currently reside just outside of Dayton, OH with two adorably grumpy cats. If she’s not writing or scouring through tons of photos of hot men, all in the name of research, then you can probably find her curled up with her Kindle, ignoring the rest of the world. She loves her sports almost as much as she loves her books. Her other obsessions include red wine, hot men, rock music, and all things Corey Taylor.

Sweet southern Sorrow by Tessa Teevan was one of my least favorite of her books. It’s not that I didn’t like it, because I did, but I just didn’t like it as much as her other series. To me there was just something missing for me to love it. I liked the main characters enough but it just seems like there was something missing with their story. I thought that it could have been longer. It seems the story was too short for us to get their entire story. This book was more on the short and sweet side to me. So if you want just a quick, second change romance, then this book is for you. --I really want Bryan and Cori’s story. I want it now.

When I saw the title of this book I thought that this was going to be another sappy story about a Southern romance that ended on a bad note. I was so far from the facts on this book!! Never judge a book by the cover or title! You might just be surprised what is awaiting you on the inside!! It took me a little to get into this book, but after just a few chapters, I was hooked on Sawyer and Cheyenne. I love how both of these characters came into the story not wanting anything from each other and ended up finding true love! Sawyer is just a dreamy good mannered guy and treats Cheyenne with the utmost respect. I don't know too many men that would be able to restrain themselves the way that Sawyer did with Cheyenne to make sure that she was ready for him and was not making a rash decision. Cheyenne was a loner and spent most of her time before moving to college just waiting on the time to pass. Cheyenne and her mother had a horrible relationship and once you meet her, you will probably feel the same way that Cheyenne does towards her mom. No good feeling were felt for her after you found out how she treated her only daughter. I love how this book was written from both perspectives of the two main characters. You got both sides of the story as you were reading and not just one! Brilliant of Tessa Teevan at keeping you in touch with both Sawyer's and Cheyenne's feelings throughout the book. This book has a HEA but I would love to know more about what comes of Sawyer and Cheyenne in their future together. I love that Cheyenne gave herself completely to Sawyer after fighting her feelings for so long. She knew in her heart all along that she belonged with Sawyer but tried to fight those feelings for as long as she could, not wanting to let him in. The way that Sawyer was so persistent proves his love for Cheyenne and what a great guy he really is. He never gives up on their love and does everything within his power to prove to Cheyenne that they were destined to be together. You get the feeling that once they find out they are step siblings that everything is going to be called off for good, but that is so not the way that Tessa lets it end and I am so glad that she didn't! This couple's love for each other is too good to let go of! Thanks Tessa for a great read!!

Tessa Teevan's Sweet Southern Sorrow is a lovely second chance romance story. This is one of my favorite tropes in romance, so I couldn't wait to read this book, even if I was a little concerned with the "sorrow" part of the title. Silly me. There was no reason to be concerned about all that. This is a sweet and romantic read that you'll be sure to devour in one sitting.  Sweet Southern Sorrow is told from both Cheyenne and Sawyer's points-of-view. To get their whole story, the scenes also alternate between 2008 when they met and present day. The jumps take a little bit of getting used to, but it was the only way to learn how these characters got to be where they are today. I loved both of these characters. The past hadn't been easy on either of them, but they always had each other. I enjoyed reading along as they got reacquainted and the old feelings came back. It was impossible not to feel the feels with these characters.  Sweet Southern Sorrow isn't quite as sexy as Tessa's other books, but it's perfect for Cheyenne and Sawyer's story. There were so many sweet moments shared between these characters, both in the past and in the present. Sawyer is totally swoony and definitely on my book boyfriend list. When he would call Cheyenne "pretty girl," my heart would melt just a little. I enjoyed the secondary characters in this book, too, and look forward to hopefully getting their stories as this series continues.  I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I love all of Tessa's books. This one is a little different than the others but still just as riviting as the others. Sawyer and Cheyenne have a bond that was created years ago and now their presents collide and forcethem to evaluate life. will it be with each other or does their past create to much of a rift to mend? I will not spoil it for you, read it for yourself.
