This is a very short story about a man, his wife, the babysitter and temptation—as you may have surmised from the title. Richard leaves his work’s Christmas Party with his wife. When they get home to relieve the babysitter, he and his wife are hot and bothered. The babysitter requests his help upstairs, she is tempting, and the question is if he will give into the temptation the babysitter offers or not? Ummm…I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that this book just didn’t do it for me. The sex scenes could have been hot, and for a short story it really packs in a lot of action, but I found the way it was written to be kind of a turn off. At one point, a vagina is described as a “vivacious channel”. Just…no. No on so many levels. I did find the dynamic between Richard, his wife and the babysitter to be interesting and a little bit hot. There’s a lot of promise there. I’m also not really sure that I’m the target audience for this book. As a mother of a daughter, the thought of some seedy married guy getting it on with my teenage daughter. Ew. All around I just found this book to not be for me. It didn’t do what erotic short stories are supposed to do, which is turn me on. The scenario just wasn’t my cup of tea, and I found the metaphors and euphemisms used in sex scenes laughable. Just not for me, but honestly it’s far from the worst I’ve read. 3 stars. *A complimentary ecopy was given by the author in exchange for my honest review.* I must say that even though this story is a short one, it certainly left a lasting impression. I know when I finished it, I had a smirk on my face. Not a smile or a grin, but a smirk. I thought it sexy & sneaky. I really, really liked this story. One could even say it's taboo but really it's just plain old infidelity. May not have been right, however, I don't believe morality is the theme here. This is a well written fantasy of an ordinary, working, family man who's tempted by the babysitter. Happens everyday. This story just goes into detail of how that would happen. And you know what else? It probably wouldn't have happened if it weren't for his wife saying what she said. I'm not putting ALL the blame on her but it sure did influence his decision. The ending was definitely a bit of a cliffhanger. Oh, I SO want to know what happens next!! I guess that's where my smirk comes from. So, if you're looking for an erotic quick fix, read this. You just might be the one smirking.

I fell in love with Richard. Felt Sorry for him and his sexual frustration. Not to spoil the story I found this to be a true keeper.

** This novella was supplied by the author in order to get an honest review ** This is an erotic novella, not intended for under 18's I have a complaint... that it was a novella. I wanted more story. The main scene in the book got me flushed and was written perfectly. Richard Martin was just your average guy. Goes to work, goes home to his wife and child but on this particular night he was needed to help out 'The babysitter." He certainly helped her out. I even felt bad that he had to leave straight away, although i completely understand it. F.Y.I. i hate cheating... except in books... then it's permitted... if it's like this. This was the first book i have read by Dark Inferno, i doubt it'll be my last. New fan :)

A novella book that explores one of the seven deadly sins, lust.  Dark Inferno gives us a story about a man that has to resist temptation in all parts of his life.  From his over the top flirty boss, to his sweet innocent baby sitter at home, no temptation is greater.  Not one to stray on his wife, he commits the ultimate sin. Short and erotic, this book is a guilty pleasure read.  I found it a fast and steamy.  Loved the length, not too much depth, just enough sexy times to get the point across.   If you need just a taste of and erotic short story, one click this today.

I am having a hard time thinking of an adequate review for this book, well novella, no that’s not right, very, very short story. I think therein lies my problem. Not that the author let on that it was longer than it is, but that I feel it should be a part of a book or shorts or that it’s some scenes taken from a full length book. Other than that I believe this is a great story, very well written and characters fleshed out. I am thinking this author is too talented to just write a short story or a series of shorts. How well the characters are written, he really should think about expanding the stories he writes. This story is a man’s fantasy pure and simple. I have a feeling the people who should steer clear of it are mothers of daughters. Even though the babysitter, Rebecca, is very much an adult, she still comes across as young, especially compared to Richard Martin. So, in conclusion I give this story four stars due to being very well written, character development and taking an honest approach to the topic of middle-aged man with babysitter fantasy. Richard doesn’t come across as some dreamy guy who, in the end, does the right thing. He is very real, trying to be good but making mistakes and letting his ‘Dick’ do the talking. I deducted a star because I felt there should have been more. Perhaps that’s just me, but it was so short, 35 pages, and ended at a point that I felt something missing. But, other than that it’s a great sexy read!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved the writer's writing style, it is well rounded and comes through as effortless. However, I did not enjoy the plot at all. The 3 bombs are thus given on the writing style and not the plot. The protagonist Richard Martin is a thirty-seven year old married man with a lovely wife. It becomes clear from the start that Richard is open to the idea of an affair, when he finds himself engrossed in the flirtatious company of a co-worker. His wife soon realizes that something is off and maneuvers his sorry behind out of the situation. This doesn't help much though, as he runs to aid the babysitter (a teenage girl who lives with daddy) with her computer. He soon ends up in her teenage bed and has wild, sex with her. Needless to say that this did not go down well! As the mother of a teenage daughter the whole scenario made me sick. I can imagine that this book would be enjoyed a certain target group, but mommies and married women certainly do not form part of it. Should the author decide to peruse a different direction of writing I think that he would achieve great heights and I look forward to reading those works. 3-Bombs Reviewed by Soreta

First let me say, I don't agree with a cheating spouse. However this is fiction and I really hope that Richard knows what he did is wrong. He did think of his wife and how she would react should she find out. That being said this novella started out slow for me. All the talk about the officer holiday party was boring. When Scarlett appeared I so thought get and Richared was going to have a tryst right there. Scarlett is one of them woman who gets around lol. If Alice didn't appear I believe Scarlett would of made her move.  When Richard and Alice left the party for home there was that uncomfortable silence. Getting home they relieved the babysitter. This is where the hot steamy sex comes in. Rebecca their babysitter asked for help with her computer. Oh Richard helped her with that and more. Richard did have a few thoughts of stopping what he was doing, but the more he progressed the more he wanted Rebecca. The ending however threw me. She wants more than one night, but he isn't sure. I want to know did Alice hear them? The author had mentioned that Richard lived below Rebecca in the building. Did Alice hear Rebecca, did she hear the bed clanking? How did she act when Richard finally returned home? I guess we will have to find that out in the next installment.

Richard Martin was suffering through yet another boring Christmas Party for work. He's been a faithful husband and mate in his opinion at least. Sweet temptation is offered in the form of his babysitter Rebecca. He wouldn't knowingly be unfaithful to his vows or would he? Will Richard take temptation up on it's offer? Or will he resist? Your answers await you in Sweet Temptations:The Babysitter. A question as old as marriage~temptation. By all appearances Richard Martin isn't the cheating type. I appreciated how the author treated this kind of story. I found myself looking at both sides of the same coin and considered each of their points of view. I look forward to the next installment in this series.
