A long-awaited collection of 30 designs by Australia’s leading knitwear designer is showcased in this instructional knitting handbook utilizing classic yarns, which features on-location photography of the Australian flora and fauna that inspired her work. Small projects with step-by-step instructions introduce the techniques used in the garments, such as intarsia, miters, and textured patterns. Designer notes explain the logic of the shapes and highlight opportunities for customizing the fit. Alternate colorways are also shown for most garments along with distinctive shapes for jackets, coats, and simple wraps that flatter and fit.

I haven't knitted a project from this book but wow! The photography is wonderful (thank you Alexis) and the projects are amazing. I plan to tackle the cover sweater first.5 stars just for composition. :)
This is the best knitting pattern book I have seen in a long time. The multiple color choices, the clear directions, the broad range of sizes (many up to 3X!) and the variations on the patterns add up to WOW! I always check out knitting books from my library first, so I can go through and decide if they're really worth buying for me. This one was an absolute, resounding "Yes". I wouldn't even wait to put it on my Christmas list - wanted it now!Thank you, Jane Slicer-Smith!
