One of the best detective novels ever set in New York. The concept of the two murder victims whose heads are switched is breathtaking. Not to be missed!

I enjoyed this book and went on to read the nest two books in the Janek series. For those too young to recall, it also spawned a TV series years ago. I confess I never watched it. Now I'm sorry.

This was a different book...different take on a psychological murder/detective story. The characters are deep & very likeable & i love the setting of nyc. It deelves deep into the detectives mind & how he solves this crime...i just wish there had been more about the killer from his perspective & more suspense but it was a great read nonetheless.

I just finished "Switch" and I am totally wrung out! Drained. Depleated. Stunned. I have tagged along with this brilliant cop, Janek, as he figures out this case, methodically piecing together one clue, one idea, one deduction, one brick at a time. I loved Janek and his team! I feel like I have discovered a new author.....I'm getting the rest of the series.

Janek finds a real sick individual in this book,as well as a great love affair. Well worth reading and worth the time to read.

Switch is a classic police story set in late 1970s New York. Janek is a character who's easy to root for and the story is nicely complex and psychological. I had read it years ago and was thrilled to see it available for my Nook. I bought the entire series.

This is an exciting read to say the least. Because of its "not a moment wasted" exciting pace, I'm sleep-deprived & stand accused of spousal abandonment (rightly so). I loved the storyline of the side-by-side cases, the cast of characters & being in Janek's head as he worked it all out. I'm so ready for the 2nd Janek book & was a bit disappointed to read in the "post-mortem" Q&A that there are only 3. :-(

An excellent detective story that sort of reminds you of many others you have read but goes where others have not. You'll like this detective.

Good mystery novel. Some parts did not hold my interest but on the whole, a good story.

It was ok. Pretty slow going. Not much substance. I guess it was an ok read. Not sure I'll read thebtest of the series. This one seemed to drag out a bit.
