Christine Rimmer does it again with her wonderful new romance Switched at Birth. Beautiful actress Madison Delaney's life is turned up side down when she learns that she was switched at birth. She immediately decides to head to Valentine Bay, Oregon to meet her new family but encounters more then she bargained for at her lovely beach rental. Sten Larson is the gorgeous carpenter living next door and Madison's new sexy landlord. Madison finds herself falling in love with Sten's adorable niece and nephew and wildly attracted to their hunky uncle. Madison decides to not only get acquainted with her long lost family but to dramatically change her isolated, lonely, Hollywood existence. Sten figures largely in her new exciting life plans. I just loved Christine Rimmer's new exciting Bravo romance! Switched at Birth is full of passion, romance, and family drama. A wonderful captivating read! I can't recommend Switched at Birth by Christine Rimmer enough!!!

This was an enjoyable journey to read. Started out with a birthday and setting goals and ended with a new family and love. Madison never dreamed her birthday would go like this. She comes to Valentine Bay to see her new family and never dreamed she would meet someone like Sten Larson, let alone fall in love. Getting past the hurdles and over past hurt to find love with each other and new families plays out through the book. The interaction with Sten and Madison is enjoyable plus the families that are involved. When you finish this book, you will be very anxious to read the next one.

Switched at birth has always seemed a fanciful notion to me, but, as a kid. As an adult celebrity, I can't imagine that it is one that you would hold on to. Madison is that celebrity who feels uncertain about her life, her future and she knows she must go meet this family that she has acquired unexpectedly. Not sure of how she will handle meeting them, she takes time off her career to go to Valentine Bay, figuring that the needed courage will come when it's time. But for now, she will get settled in at a rental on the ocean. The view isn't bad, especially of the hot neighbor. Christine Rimmer is a pure writing genius! Her characters are real, down to earth, and approachable, someone who makes you feel like you're part of the story, and leaves you wanting more. The story is wonderful and has you on the edge of your seat ready for the next book!

Madison has it all....except family and love. She returns to Oregon to meet her birth family and bumps into a hunk of a neighbor who has been burned by another woman. She knitted what she wants, as she's already achieved her career ambitions but desires more in life. Will she find love in her new family and the neighbor, Sten? Or will she end up living her dreams on the big screen? I love this series, The Bravos of Valentine Bay! Christine will draw you in and sneak in moments that you'll ugly-cry!

This is a wonderful story of Madison Delany who was "Switched at Birth" with Aislinn. I thought it was a very compelling story because this young woman who doesn't quite know how to deal with her new found family. I got the sense that it was very difficult to make herself vulnerable enough to meet her family. After she does meet them, she wants to protect them from the paparazzi. She also gets to meet her landlord Sten she is ready to pursue a relationship but he cannot believe that he would be enough for her and that she would be willing to give up fame and fortune. This is a story that takes you through all of this plus more. You immediately start rooting for the Sten and Madison. You laugh, feel the sorrow , fear and become emotionally with all of the characters. I cannot wait for the next installment.

You’re America’s sweetheart. You have a ton of money. You live a charmed life in Los Angeles. Then you find out, you’re a fraud. You’re not who you think you are, and the reality of your ‘new’ family is getting closer. You’re also burnt out and tired of the Hollywood scene. Should you take a chance and see what your biological family is like? Madison Delaney must make some difficult choices, and soon. You’ve always done what’s expected. Your family depends on you. You’ve always been the steady, even tempered person that everyone looks to for advice and help. You’re not sure you’re that person any longer. Sten Larson finds himself looking at the woman renting his cottage next door with more than neighborly thoughts. Where will this lead? With the angst Madison feels when she decides to go forward with introducing herself to her birth family, and understanding how she was switched at birth, Sten is by her side. When the Hollywood photographers and gossip mongers find her in Valentine’s Bay, Sten is by her side. Sten is sure he’s not right for Madison. Madison is not sure where her career is going or what will happen in her near or distant future. This is a perfect addition to the Valentine’s Bay Bravo family. I love that Ms. Rimmer brings back some of the earlier characters from this series so we can ‘catch up’ with what’s going on in their lives. Spend some time with old and new friends in Valentine’s Bay. A very enjoyable read.

Switched at Birth is the fourth book in Christine Rimmer’s The Bravos of Valentine Bay series. We were first introduced to Madison Delaney in Almost a Bravo (The Bravos of Valentine Bay #2) where we discovered she had been switched at birth with Aislinn Bravo. I had developed an opinion of the character back then and boy was I wrong. I loved Madison and her desire to set goals and change her life based on those goals. She wasn’t a typical Hollywoodite, and I liked that about her. She was down to earth and knew she needed to change her life even before she discovered she’d been switched at birth and was now a part of the Bravo family. Sten Larson is the guy next door. He’s strong, caring and loves his family and he knows the Bravos. He’s been hurt by a past relationship and that baggage carries through to him and Madison. Sten does his best to guide Madison towards her new family. When Madison’s true life gets in the way, she realizes that she doesn’t want to drag Sten and his family into her chaotic lifestyle. Will she walk away from Sten and her new family? Will Sten put his past behind him? I absolutely loved Switched at Birth and couldn’t put it down finishing it well into the early morning hours. This is a standalone book, but I also suggest reading, at least, Almost a Bravo to learn about some of the backstory. The entire series is well worth your time. I’d like to disclose that I received an advance copy and it was my decision to read and review it. This is my honest opinion. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
