Loved this book! This book had me hooked from the very beginning. Definitely a great read for crime lovers, with surprising twists yet believable characters. It was hard to put down and took me only three days to finish. Well done. I look forward to the others in the series. I see that the TV rights have been optioned--would make a great TV series with a smack-you-between-the-eyes pilot!

Reilly Steel is a FBI trained crime scene technologist from America that has moved to Dublin, Ireland to modernize the crime lab, somewhat against the protests of many of the men already in the law enforcement department. When trace evidence from seemingly unrelated crime scenes begins to link murders together, Reilly suspects a serial killer. This first installment in the CSI Reilly Steel series was a little rough. Reilly is really the only character that really gets developed very fully. However, the plot twists kept me guessing all the way through. The book is also full of unexpected humor, and I found the characters likeable enough to keep reading the series.

I found the story of Reilly Steel, CSI to be well written and very suspenseful. You have an American forensic specialist, who takes the opportunity to move to Ireland to be closer to her father, who has not been accepted yet by the police officers that she is suppose to be helping to solve crimes in Dublin. The head of the department has gone on a long vacation and a serial killer begins begins his reign of terror in Dublin. Steel, and her young team, are able to tie the murders together but the clues that are being left behind make no sense. As the killings continue they seem to be aimed at Steel. What has someone learned about her past? Why is she being pulled into this case in ways that she does not want to be pulled? A very good mystery and a new and interesting CSI to add to the reading list. Ms. Hill has done and excellent job of creating a book that is hard to put down. I look forward to reading the further investigations of Reilly Steel.

I would not recommend this for a book club. It had a good story line, but kind of gory with the murders. A mystery to the end.

I recommend this book, the characters are well formed and strong. The story line is easy to follow with the element of surprise that I so enjoyed. This is the first in a series but will stand alone for any reader. Th only trouble I had was in the editing but did not distract from the story. I plan to read more in this series.

I have found a new favorite author. Casey Hill did a wonderful job of keeping the reader interested to the end. Just enough descriptions to not be too wordy but enough to give you a brief glimpse of the scene. Loved it. Looking forward to reading more of this series.

Good story and characters. There were a few times where I felt the generally intelligent characters were missing glaringly obvious lines of inquiry. And one or two items were not sufficiently explained, but I enjoyed it overall.

This mystery has an intriguing plot and enough action to keep the reader going. Though the end was predictable before the "brilliant" protagonist caught on, there were enough twists and turns and suspenseful moments to keep us guessing. We would recommend this book to a reader who wants a good mystery to take along on vacation. (That's when we read it.)

American forensic scientist to Ireland to be close to her father and work with local constabulary....she gets pulled into a case of a seriel killer......while working with men who don't care for her technices, she considered one of the best.
