Having lived in Tahoe for 18 years, these books highlight all that was good about the area. The characters are great, plots are intricate, and you'll love Spot. Start with the first one, Death Fall, then Tahoe Blowout, etc. I simply couldn't put them down. Great reading!!

I'm really enjoying this series.  The mysteries are well-constructed and Spot is a hoot.

I love this series. Mr. Borg has created a great character in Owen McKenna and given him a nice cast of supporting characters to add dimension to the story. I like his attention to detail and integration of "art education". This is my third book in the series and I will continue reading. My only complaint, I figured out "who done it" early on but still enjoyed getting there.

It has been fun getting to know The characters more with each book. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. The stories are clean with very little coarse language over all.

Oh, this was such an exciting read! I feel like I'VE been to Hawaii, Tahoe and just all over chasing bad guys! I wish my favorite chair had a seat belt because when you read one of the Owen McKenna mysteries, you are for sure in for a wild ride! Each book in the series keeps your adrenalin pumping! I am a big mystery fan and I've got to say that this author has captured my imagination like no writer ever has! This is first-class stuff!

The author has the right recipe for reintroducing prior characters from this series without excessive verbage. Another great read.
