I love Tainted Dreams, it's the perfect sequel!! Christi Corbett has done an amazing job picking up where Along the Way Home ended. Kate thought the hard part was over since "they survived the Oregon Trail, but claiming a legacy would be their greatest challenge yet." Now that Kate has arrived in Oregon she has to find the property that her father purchased and get the store ready for the wagons that are on their way. Jake also has plans of his own to get a settlement and start a ranch. But most importantly to win Kate's heart. Will Kate and Jake continue to work well and stay together or will their lives in this new civilization tear them apart? This series really shows the triumph and tragedies that so many faced while settling the west. Christi did her homework making sure to get everything correct for that time period. I will share these books with my children when they get older! Great job!!
This was a great read. I re=read the first one and then Tainted Dreams. Wow!! Had a hard time putting it down. The language was clean and I would recommend to anyone. Great job Christie.
