Michelle Rose is a typical teenage girl who has big dreams. She'll tell you herself in this journal-style story about an aspiring actress and the road she travels from her teens to adulthood. You'll meet her large family, her friends, and her love interests. Michelle takes you through life's ups and downs, all while trying to uphold her moral character in situations dealing with her relationships and her career. Michelle's main goal is to jot every important moment down for her "memoirs" that she'll most definitely publish when she becomes a household name (so she wishes). And that is exactly what you are reading when you read Take a Bow--Michelle's most important moments in life, love, and how it all ends up. Does she become an actress? Does she marry the love of her life? Does she ever give up on what she believes in most? The only way to find out is to take Michelle's journey by reading her memoirs--just as she wanted you to.

I think every young girl should have this book. The main character shows confidence and strong moral character that I think can help the young women of today. Kids today -especially girls feel that they have to conform to what society thinks they should be or what society is portraying other women to be and this character shows that you don't have to conform to the ways of the world- you can just be you. It was a good read and I would recommend it to any young woman or parents of young woman!
