We fell in love on a beach, got married in paradise, and rode off into the sunset. It should have been perfect, but saying "I do" doesn't guarantee a happily-ever-after.
Two years later, I barely recognize either of us behind the walls we've built.
It's time to bring it full circle. Back to a tropical paradise. Back to find out if we can still make this work.
I'm not willing to give her up, but to save us, I have to risk everything.
Two damaged people.
Countless secrets.
The fight of our lives.
We might be broken, but we're not done.

"Take Me Back is EVERYTHING you never knew you wanted in a romance! It's EPIC and romantic to the core. I absolutely LOVED IT!!!" --Shayna Renee's Spicy Reads

4.5 stars Hold onto your tits and bits, faithful readers. Meghan March is going to take you for quite a ride. What starts out as a sort of angsty second chance-ish love story turns into a nail-biting suspense thriller. Dane and Kat have been married two years, but theirs has not been a happily ever after. They love each other - there is no questioning that - but they are distant, disconnected, discordant. Dane arranges a ten-day holiday for them, away from anything in their daily lives that could distract them. Each hopes that they can find their way back to each other. It's all fine and "Can This Marriage Be Saved" ... until Meghan March introduces some nefarious ill will. The beauty of how March writes is that she tells you that storms are coming. She warns you to watch out, to worry for Dane and Kat. And yet when trouble hits, you still find yourself shouting, "WHAT!" at the book. Even with all of the intrigue, March keeps you focused on the simplistic heart of this story, the marriage of Dane and Kat. If they had just talked to each other, if they had just been honest about their truths and their fears - all of the "ifs" that go into a marriage. When each needed the other most, they pushed their love away rather than let it comfort them. Not to worry, though. This is a Meghan March book, so the hot headboard rocking delivers the quiver (and then some). Strap on your vibrators, girls, because the sexy times will leave you in need. I enjoyed this book sooooo much. Give it a read and let me know your thoughts.

What an adventure! My thoughts in the beginning of this book were centered around how refreshing it was to read about a married couple having troubles and trying to work it out. I think the romance genre underplays marriage as a setting for romance instead often using it as evidence of a happily ever after. The premise behind this book was simple yet engaging. A married couple that is close to getting a divorce go on a tropical vacation together to try to rekindle their romance. We learn about their marriage through various flashbacks that help develop their history. Their story is told in dual point of view. And I felt the author did an excellent job developing both characters as well as their realistic voices. I liked them equally. However, as the book moves along we get not just romance (with a dash of humor) but also action and and adventure. That was so unexpected and really kept the book moving along nicely. On the whole, "Take Me Back" was original and fun to read. ***Advanced copy obtained via author****

I loved this story. It’s about two married people who drifted apart after the wife lost her best friend and built walls to protect herself. However, it’s also much more complicated. Both parties are keeping secrets that have put a strain on their unconventional marriage.   The story is full of heartache, love, romance, and passion. So much passion. This is the type of book that reminds me why I fell in love with romance. Then March brings in the danger, action, and thrills I was beyond loving every second. I hope she makes this into a series and does books for each of the guys.   Take Me Back is getting 5 Boundless Stars, I couldn’t stop listening.

This book is amazing! This is the first book I have read from this author and I will be reading more. I felt all of the pain that Kat felt from loss and from her marriage. Although I would have liked more of the story on rebuilding their relationship, this book had me hooked and I couldnt put it down. Would love a story about Rome!

I am not sure what's not there for me, but i don't think the action scenes got enough time, not the sexual action scenes, the problematic scenes.

OMG, this book!! I am a sucker for second chance romances or rekindling of romances! This book had all that and more. You think it is going to be a book about a couple coming back together or ending their marriage, but just like all Meghan March books, not all is what it seems. When a relationship is based on secrets and half-truths - when it all comes out it then you have to decide if love worth saving and fighting for.

Dane and Kat have been married for a couple of years. They're at a point in their marriage where life has happened, and they have to decide to continue and fix their marriage, or go their separate ways. I've read all of Meghan March's books, except for the Beneath Series, and this was very different from her other books. It was a really good story, but not as much erotic action I've come to expect in her books. There was suspense, espionage, and action in this story, but I would have preferred more love scenes, but I did find myself rooting for the good guys in this story. I did enjoy the story of Dane and Kat, and the separate tales of their lives, and how they're both influenced by their jobs.

Read at your own Risk-slight spoilers ahead. I have never read a Meghan March novel and didn’t quite know what to expect. The synopsis sounded like your typical second chance romance. They meet on a beach vacation, fall in love and get married. After their marriage the communication stops and they are barely speaking to each other anymore. They make one last ditch effort and go on another beach vacation in the tropics. They are re-kindling the romance and then this second chance romance story becomes a romantic suspense novel. WHAT?!!! I was totally blindsided! In a great way! Second chance romances are not my favorite, but I am a HUGE fan of romantic suspense novels and this one captured my attention, lock, stock and gun barrels! Part of the fun with this novel was the fact that I was completely snookered! I mean, I thought it was turning into a swinger book or something, and i was starting to get really uncomfortable. (Blushing while writing) Swingers, threesomes, bondage, etc. are not really my thing, so thank god I was completely wrong! Our heroine in peril, struggles to find her inner Rambo, and was failing horribly at that, when our hero turns into hot commando guy and saves the day! Woo-Hoo! Ok, I didn’t give away the plot, but did give away a little bit of the surprise in this book, because it was that surprise that I enjoyed so much. How could I write a review without revealing a little of my shock and awe? This book was fun, and a light read. No heavy lifting needed. The perfect vacation book, unless you’re taking a beach vacation. You may want to pack a gun, instead of a book!

This was my third Meghan March book and she’s made me a huge fan. Kat and Dane are celebrating their second wedding anniversary by going on vacation but there’s a twist. At the end of this vacation they’ll decide whether or not they will stay married. This book turned out to be about so much more than that. The flashbacks are insightful, get to the point and are kept to a minimum. TMB is full of romance, love, lies and forgiveness. I know this is being promoted as a standalone but I wouldn’t mind some spinoffs.

I went into this book not expecting it to go AT ALL the way it went! Wow just wow! Meghan your words are magical! These are some of my thoughts I shared with Meghan while I was reading: "If I didn't love you so much I would say I kinda don't like you bc of how much my heart is breaking bc of you right now!!!! I'm only 1:25:44 hrs into take me back and I'm dying for Kat and Dane!!!" "I don't think I've ever felt this way since page one of a book!!! Wow I'm only at chapter 9 and dying I need some hearts and flowers and all that good stuff asap" If you're an audiobook fan GET THIS ONE ASAP! Meghan's words combined with Andi and Zachary voicing them is by far a stellar performance! Don't hesitate and do yourself a favor and pick this book up YESTERDAY! ❤️

Two damaged people. Countless secrets. The fight of our lives. We might be broken, but we’re not done. 5+++ Always and Forever Stars!!! Holy Hell! Loved, loved, LOVED this book. I am a big fan of everything Meghan writes and this is no different. It is much like my fave series of all time, her Beneath series. Kat and Dane are not perfect but they are perfect together. Or they use to be. This is a story of a couple drifting apart because if life and secrets kept. In a last effort to save their marriage, Dane plans a get away at a secluded Belizian resort. But things out of their control have them praying that they can make it back to each other. A super sexy second chance at romance that I couldn't put down. Thanks again Meghan!

I liked Kat and Danes characters, I liked the plot line. The action scenes could have been written with more care and there were a few editing mistakes I caught a long the way. The sex in this book was not for me. I know its a new adult book, I usually love them, but the sex in this book had every cliche new adult trope I try to stay away from. Overall it, was alright.

This is one of those books that just reels you in from the very start. It's really fast paced, a story full of suspense, love and passion, regret and two characters perfect for each other. The chapters are quite short and change between the two leads frequently which is a really good way to get an insight into each characters mindset. Dane is super alpha and super hot, he's a total badass and I loved him from the start. Kat is floundering, she's had an incredibly hard few years, the two are at the stage in their marriage that if they don't fight for each other something has to break. They've both got a great attitude towards what they want to achieve. It's really hard to keep this a spoiler free review, with everything that happens in the book its really hard not to reference it. This is definitely a story you need to go into with no preconceived ideas. The less you know the better the twists and turns are.

dane and kat have one last chance to save their marriage. in take me back, they start out not at all on the same page but for one thing. in spite of all the lies and half-truths, in spite of the anger and the disappointment and loss, they want to be together. so they take a ten-day vacation to belize to see if their marriage is something they can save. and you know it's going to take a lot of heartache before they can even decide if that's possible. these characters are hiding some pretty big secrets, from us, from each other, maybe even from themselves. and maybe in order to find what it will take to fix things they have to break it all apart completely. every confession, every memory, every lie, every truth chips away at the walls they've built in their marriage, the walls they've built around their hearts. and this is painful, it's emotionally devastating, but it's also renewal. but to get to that renewal they have to fight like hell. because everything falls apart. the secrets from the past become a part of their present in a way neither of them could have ever imagined. and they aren't just fighting for their marriage, they're fighting for their lives, fighting to live and love another day. and when living hangs in the balance, maybe all the other stuff--the lies of omission, the half-truths--aren't all that important. at the end of the day, the truth held at the center of their hearts is how deeply they love one another. sometimes love isn't enough, but sometimes it is. sometimes you just have to trust in the love and everything else will sort itself out. it's not easy, especially when there is so much else they can't trust. but if they can believe in love, then maybe, just maybe things will work out. ok it's a romance novel, things work out, but you have to see how they work out. because it's so emotionally satisfying. honestly, i've read pretty much everything meghan march has published. some i've loved more than others, but this one might be her best yet.

I love Meghan March's books and this one did not fail to deliver. I'm not always a fan of chapters alternating between now and then...but she makes it work and draws you in. She had me hooked pretty quickly within the first few pages and I had to keep reading to see what happened. A late night reading for sure. Kat and Dane...loved...Kate was feisty...Dane...an alpha, protective, guy...but also caring. Their chemistry is hot, their affection is obvious regardless of their issues (which is nice to see) and I just want to keep learning more about them. Hoping there is more of these other characters and revisiting Kat and Dane

This is hands down one of the best second chance romance stories that I've ever had the pleasure of reading and should be on everyone's must read list!! I'm a huge fan of this author and was excited to read this since I knew I'd love it, but I had no idea just how much this book would blow me away! I literally couldn't put this book down until I'd devoured the entire thing in one sitting and I love when books completely consume me like this! There's so much more to Dane and Kat's story than it first appears and I thoroughly enjoyed every single second of their journey! I highly recommend reading this to anyone and I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next!

Emotionally raw, dangerously exciting and breathtakingly unexpected! Kate and Dane had a whirlwind romance, married in paradise and set off to live their happily ever after. Real life got in the way one too many times and here they are two years later barely connecting and wondering what life is all about. Dane takes her back to paradise, aiming to rekindle what brought them together in the first place and they share the ups and downs of what life has been like for each of them over the years. Discovered secrets and the perils of paradise take us on a roller coaster of emotion and awe as they reach for that happily-ever-after harder than they ever have before.

Stunning!!! Meghan March has truly outdone herself as she has written one fabulous second chance love story that was a symphony of depth, beauty, heartbreak, love, and raw emotions. With her visceral and palpable prose, March takes readers on a journey as a married couple tries to recapture that passion and love they once had and still have for each other. Take Me Back is one of those reads that strips you bare and leaves your heart in your throat as you are bombarded with so much raw emotions. This is truly an emotional journey of life, love, and happiness. We all have read stories about a couple finding love and living the happily ever after. But what happens after the honeymoon phase when a couple must decide what happens next? Divorce or fight for their love? I don’t want to spoil the book and so I will not say much about what to expect but what I can honestly say is Take Me Back had my heart. March truly has a way with her words and characters. She allows you to feel for them in such a way that you are left breathless and begging for more. So if you are looking for a love story that is filled with surprises, heart, and depth, then I highly recommend you to read this book.

Wow !! So this is what I know, which isn't much. I started reading TMB and was immediately drawn in , like the very first sentence had me eager to turn the page . Now I assumed a Lot about this book , boy was I wrong to assume ! The roller coaster ride of zips and turns and unexpected flips had me reading long into the night . Very high paced and action packed ... I loved everything. But you'll have to expieience this ride for your self , I won't be giving anything away ... Do it !!! 5 stars !!
