All of my demons are coming to head.

I thought Ari could push them back.

I thought I could conquer my vices with her at my side.

I thought wrong.

Fear is my new constant.

I thought I could conceal it, contain it, control it.

I thought that now that I had Grant the worst was over.

I thought wrong.

But if we’re going to survive, wherever you go…take me with you.

Find out what happens with Grant and Aribel in book 2 of the Take Me Duet!

I adore K.A. Linde's writing but for me this one fell a bit flat. I basically wanted to punch Grant the entire book and I don't remember feeling that way during TMFG. I think I'm just so used to the angst she writes for characters in her other series but I just didn't feel any of that this time around with Grant and Ari. Even the issues with their parents was built up and then just quickly over and done with. Idk what I would change but I just wanted to feel more for them.

I was given an ARC from the author for an honest review.  Ahhhhh! CONTRABAND! Two people from two worlds trying to make it against all odds. Grant and Ari haven't been in any serious relationships and are trying to figure it out. They both have some trust issues and seem to keep running into relationship road bumps. Just when they have things figured out things get out of hand. The band is getting bigger, Grant's dad comes back in the picture, Ari's family doesn't accept Grant...and to top it all off, Grant and Ari seem to always be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Together they are amazing but when they are not, things seem to fall apart. They both are questioning whether or not they should even try. This is full of sexual angst, witty banter, and crazy antics that will keep you turning to the next page. "I’d treated love like my chemistry homework. Every equation had an answer, and when combined properly created a fixed outcome. But there were no fixed outcomes with Grant. There wasn’t even an equation. It was just a whole lot of insanity." “Restraint is not my forte. You’re playing dirty.”...“You like it.” “You’re cute, Grant. But boys in bands are trouble. Find yourself a girl not jaded by them, and then don’t f*** it up.” Just when you think things are over and coming to an end, along comes another twist to the story. In addition to following Ari's and Grant's craziness we get the sidestory that includes Ari's roommates and Grant's bandmates. They are a fun but crazy bunch that will not disappoint. Love the Take Me series!
