A group of friends walk into a Chinese restaurant, pick up the menu and ask "What are you going to have?"-Then, "What's Combination with Szechuan sauce?" or "Has anyone had Chicken Mexican and crumbed fillets?"
This book is a little like the Chinese restaurant. There is variety aplenty. Some will like one essay, others will prefer another. It will be like turning the Lazy Susan as each one dips in for a selection, but in the end all will be fed.
'Al Mewett can tell you that Napoleon suffered from aillurophobia (a terror of cats) or that on a hot day an oak tree gives off 28,000 gallons of moisture. He once told me to review the company finances in the light of the world coming to an end. Apparently, each year, the moon takes slightly longer to encircle the earth than it did the year before. He says we have five billion years left. I didn't bother my accountant.'
