Exciting descriptive read Felicity Heaton continues to keep her readers actively engaged in her unique paranormal stories with this one about a dragon warrior named Loke who grabs Anais, a human hunter, from the middle of a battle where they are on opposite sides. Her attention to detail comes across in vivid pictures of the world of dragons and their traditions. The story dynamics between Loke and Anais is very powerful with both of them being very strong willed with one trying to save the other from death while the other just wants to return to their world and life. Because of this there are some missteps and irreversible things that happen that could of been avoided with a lesser strong willed damsel in distress. For me Loke at first glance was a beautiful lonely dragon who just wanted to be left alone. As the story progresses you sense his honor and commitment to what he believes to be true. I love how he always kept his word and when he was betrayed he wanted above all things to believe that she didn't do it. For me the part I liked the most about his character was that he loved without expectations and above all he wanted to keep Anais safe from everyone and himself even if it meant his death. There was a point in the story when I wanted to shake Anais and say "Really you can't see he is worth everything you think you are missing." Her character continually evolved from being total warrior thinking to a finer, softer women who was still a mighty hunter but started to question that what she had always thought was truth wasn't. She is portrayed with a very strong backbone and she puts it to use at the end of the book with exciting and satisfying results. I give it 5 HEARTS and recommend it for everyone over 18 due to the hot love scenes. I loved this book, it is definitely one of my favorites from this series.

First off I have to say that I think that dragons are the be-all and end-all of smexilicious shifters. They are possessive, protective and sexy as hell! You know, pretty much the perfect alpha male. Loke is all that and then some. I LOVED him this book and did I mention that he has blue hair? And I mean it's ALL blue. Seriously... blue is now my new favorite color. LOL Loke has kidnapped Anais in the middle of a huge battle (Claimed by a Demon King) and spirited her away to his cave after witnessing her death in a vision. Anais is a huntress for the Archangel organization. When she awakens in his home she is doubtful of his intentions and is determined to escape and return to help her friends. I loved the relationship between Loke and Anais. The more time that they spent together the more that he was coming to realize that she was his mate. The thought of any harm coming to his little Amazon terrified him and he was determined to not let her out of his sight until her was sure of her safety. The chemistry between these two was palpable and though it was very intense I liked how it built up slowly. Lots of action and plenty of cameos (which I loved) from previous characters. I also really loved the plot threads for the Angel and the rescued huntress, Emelia. Taken by a Dragon has what every PNR reader looks for, intriguing plot, strong heroine, sexy protective alpha, fast paced story and lots of romance. I can't wait to see what comes next in the series!! *I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I think this may have been my favorite so far. Taken By A Dragon is the seventh book in the Eternal Mates series. This one was an exciting dragon filled adventure. Our leading man was Loke, a dragon. ;-) I thought he was awesome! He was everything that I have come to expect from shifter men. Anais was our heroine. She was a stubborn and fierce warrior in her own right. She works for a Hunter organization called Archangel. These two had a great chemistry and their relationship was started as a spark and grew to blazing proportions. ;-) I was blown away with the author's depiction of the dragon's abilities. I thought it was great that she mixed some that we assume and gave him some unique skills as well. As usual with this series, there was plenty of action, scenes that will make you laugh, and plenty of romance. This is a dragon story so be prepared for there to be some heat as well. ;-) I have to mention that I LOVE the secondary characters too. I received an ecopy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. This was a treasure that I would recommend reading.

: 4.25 stars--TAKEN BY A DRAGON is the seventh instlallment in Felicity Heaton’s ETERNAL MATES paranormal romance, fantasy series focusing on shifters, demons, fae, elves, vampires and more. This is dragon shifter Loke, and Anais’s storyline. Anais is a hunter who works for Archangel Industry-a group that studies the supernatural powers and paranormal activity. TAKEN BY A DRAGON can be read as a stand alone although many of the previous storyline characters are beginning to cross over between the novels, along with hints at future matings and relationships. Told from alternating third person points of view, the focus of the storyline is two fold: The opening finds Anais on the battlefield in the Third Realm of Hell when she is unglamorously abducted and held against her will by a dragon who claims that he has seen the future. Loke felt compelled to save Anais the minute a vision of her death clouded his mind. Anais is unsure as to how to handle the news and attempts to escape only to find herself the prisoner of another dragon who is more than willing to take what he wants-and what he wants will surely end Anais’s life. Secondly, Anais knows that the people from Archangel Industry will be on the hunt for their missing female and Anais is more than willing to let the people in charge do what they do best. It is only when she and Loke return to the human realm does she realize the gross error in judgment about the people with whom she works. The relationship between Anais and Loke begins combatively and reluctantly although their attraction to one another is immediate and intense; Loke believes he has found his fated mate but humans rarely survive a mating the a supernatural species and with this comes fear, desire and longing. A good portion of the storyline finds our couple ruminating out the past, present and future-a stream of consciousness as to the here and now. Anais’s life is threatened and at risk on numerous occasions, and Loke finds himself as protector, guardian and shield. The sexual tension is strong. The $ex scenes are intimate, arousing and romantic. The secondary and supporting characters include many of the previous storylines couples, cast and paranormal beings. Favors are called in; promises made; futures unknown. We are introduced to several dragons from the Third Realm of Hell, as well as an assortment of battling Elves and Fae who long thought one another had died or at the very least, had disappeared to another realm. With the new arrivals, comes a quick glimpse into the future of Felicity Heaton’s ETERNAL MATES series-one that involves Angels, demons, dark Fae and elves. There is some dark and dangerous history that is slowly revealing in each successive storyline. TAKEN BY A DRAGON ventures between the human world and the Third Realm of Hell where a battle rages between the supernatural powers and Archangel Industry. The flow and pacing are even; the tension and anxiety is high. There is plenty of action both on and off the battlefield. Felicity Heaton’s ETERNAL MATES is a fantasy of the mind; a virtual color reel of imagination; a fascinating and imaginative series that will leave you wanting more.

This is the seventh book in the Eternal Mates series. I loved it! Anais is a wonderful character. She is a human warrior, working along side Sable at Archangel, a type of paranormal police/research agency in the mortal realm. I liked her feisty attitude, though felt that she took chances that were extremely dangerous. I was first introduced to her on the battlefield in the second book in the series, Claimed by a Demon King. However, she was only a secondary character at the time. I am glad to now to have the opportunity to get to know her better. Loke is a dragon shifter. I loved this sexy man! He has all the traits of an alpha male - protective, loving and possessive. However, I also found him to be incredibly sweet. He may be a dragon, but he has a sensitivity which made me melt!  I have been eagerly awaiting the release of this book. The story is told through the view points of Anais and Loke. Their story hooked me from the first page, and didn't let me go until I had finished it. The heat factor between these two characters is just as steamy as the other characters in this series. I love their stubborn butting of heads, which I found quite entertaining. I was also quite amused by Loke's disdain of a female dragon and her attempts at seduction; it made me giggle, though the situation was anything but funny.  There are no battle scenes as such, but there is a fight scene between Loke and two other dragons which is just as intense; and another one in Underworld which I found quite funny, as I could picture the fracas quite easily. This is one of the things I love about the author - her ability to build believable paranormal worlds, and her descriptive ability to bring a reader into it. I felt like I was there, amongst the action, smelling the dust and sweat, and hearing the clash of weapons and fists.  We get to meet the other characters in the series again - Prince Loren, King Thorne, Sable, Kyter and Cavanaugh, just to name a few. We are also introduced to new characters. An angel who has no name, but is of the Echelon (whatever that means!). I am now wondering what his story will be? I can hardly wait to find out! And Cavanaugh's brother, Harbin, makes an appearance! All this testosterone is enough to get any red blooded female's hormones racing! *Minor spoiler* The end of the book has a bit of kink in it, but it's not full out BDSM, only bondage. However, this is in keeping with the story and makes for an unforgettable ending. I am now looking forward to reading the next book in the series! Felicity Heaton has written another fast paced, sexy paranormal romance that I thoroughly enjoyed! I love her writing style, which flows effortlessly from scene to scene. She is number one on my favourite authors list! I do not recommend this book to younger readers due to the extremely HOT and explicit sexual scenes. However, I highly recommend this book (and series) if you love sexy paranormal romances full of vampires, elves, werewolves, cat shifters, succubi, incubi, angels, dragons and demons. - Lynn Worton

LOVE Heaton's books - all of them! Main character, Anais, lacked the usual hutzpah of Ms Heatons usual heriones. I didnt think she was worthy of her dragon mate. That being said, still a grest story - would've been another fabulous book if Anais had more spine (or a dsmn good resson for the lack!)

I've always had a fondness for dragons and this just made me love reading about them even more. I was enthralled from the start. There were a couple times in the story that I was a little confused by all the characters from not having read all the previous books in the series but overall this stood alone really well. I really liked Anais. She's very sassy and strong willed. I like that even though she's weaker she wasn't willing to back down or give up in a fight. At times she could be very stubborn but she really meant well. I adored Loke. He's fierce, brave, and just a super sexy alpha male. He was very cute in his misunderstandings or wanting more knowledge of the English language and the mortal world. I loved how protective he was of Anais even before realizing that she might be his fated mate. The chemistry between them was searing (pun intended). I adored this couple. I definitely plan on going back and reading all the previous books and look forward to the next.

~ 5 Taken Stars ~ Taken by a Dragon is book seven in the Eternal Mates series by Felicity Heaton. I love DRAGONS and I have been not so patently waiting for this installment. It’s by far another one of my favorites in this series Hell is a very dangerous place even for the creatures living in it, but the Dragons are at the top of the pyramid and very few creatures will mess with them. I enjoyed learning about the Dragons in Hell, their culture and instincts. Loke is a Dragon, masculine, powerful, and very intelligent. I liked his determination to protect his little Amazon and his curiosity about her and her world. Anais is a fierce warrior, strong willed, and works for Archangel, the hunter organization. I liked her fierceness and dedication to protect her family and friends. The relationship building was well done. Loke and Anais have feelings for each other, but did not jump on them and instead they got to know each other first. I will always love cameos and FHeaton had no shortage of them in Taken by a Dragon . We get a great verity of characters and of course the author introduces us to a few new ones that I am looking forward to reading about. Ms. Heaton does an amazing job of bring together everything a PNR needs. The writing style flows easily and the story pulls you in making it so hard to put the book down. This is another Masterful Spectacular Adventure full of protection and romance If you have not picked this series up yet, I highly recommend you do. This is a must read for any PNR fans. Ms. Heaton is an unbelievable writer and all her her works are worth trying out * Disclaimer: ARC provided by author via tour host (Rabid PR) with the sole purpose of an honest review. Anais works for Archangel as a hunter. She is a friend of Sables and during the battle she is snatched after she had pretended to be unconscious. Of course the person to save her was none other then the gorgeous blue dragon Loke. And although they were fighting for the same cause something just doesn't feel right to her about him.  Loke is no fool he knows exactly what Anais is once he rescues her  but what he doesn't know is what do about it? Loved this book also as I am an avid dragon shifter book lover.  Well written, the romance was slow to grow but totally hot. I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review

I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review. This is the story of Anais and Loke - a huntress from Archangel and a dragon shifter. During the battle that takes place during book 2, Loke snatches Anais from the battle after he gets a vision of her dying. For some reason (we all know what), this is unacceptable to him so off they go. Loke calls Anais his 'little amazon' as he thinks she is fierce and unafraid. Loke is an intelligent, smexy blue dragon man who lives away from the other dragons because he doesn't like the power plays. This is a brilliant continuation of the Eternal Mates series and I am LOVING that we have a dragon shifter - sorry, Kyter and Cavanagh! There are so many threads that are connected in this book and I really want Taryn and Bleu's story but I am waiting oh so patiently for that one as I know it will be superb! But anyway, back to this one - the whole story seems to be coming together. We have mentions of Olivia and Loren shows up to help Loke; Sable and Thorne are there, Kyter, Cavanagh and others all make an appearance. This is definitely a series (for me) to read in order as it makes the small nuances more noticeable and enjoyable. The plot is fast paced and well written with humour, heat and decisions to be made and maybe regretted. Definitely recommended as both a book and the series. Another cracker from Felicity Heaton.

Great enemies to lovers story with the sweetest, most honorable hero yet. *Complimentary ARC via the author assistant for the purpose of an honest review. Taken by a Dragon picks up during the battle in Chapter 29 in Claimed by a Demon King (book two). However, I wouldn’t recommend reading the series out of order.  Anais didn't appreciate being abducted and leaving her friends to fight the war on their own. Despite warming up to Loke after a few days, she remained vigilant and determined to find a way to get back to the Mortal Realm. Unfortunately, doing a bit of reconnaissance required her to break her vow of not trying anything foolish. A seemingly harmless action landed not only her in deep sh*t but also Loke. Instead of feeling betrayed or angry, he was unsurprisingly patient and forgiving of what she'd set in motion, and his first priority remained her safety at all costs.  I loved Loke! He lived apart from others of his kind, therefore he was somewhat isolated. He dreamed of seeing the blue skies o the Mortal Realm, a place his species were banned from by a witch’s curse, and he’d given up on “dalliances” early on so he hadn’t been with a female in about eight centuries. Around her, he was always sweet, gentle and kind. It was cute how he took pride in his simple lodgings while also worrying about how to make it more amenable to her.  Even though I liked Anais quite a bit, I did get upset with her at one point. Earlier in the story, she didn't have a problem standing up to Zephyr and Ren (at least until they efficiently cowed her), but when Thorne and Sable eventually showed up, she couldn't get her mouth to work to keep them from hurting Loke and taking him back to Archangel for “interrogation”. I found myself basking in her hurt and guilt. I wanted to throttle her for her naiveté. That’s not to say she couldn’t redeem herself because she did.  There were two other interesting side stories (I haven’t read books 4-6, so I don’t know what has or hasn’t transpired thus far): An angel, the Fourth Commander of the Echelon, shows up who is determined to drag Sable to Heaven to serve, but he’s sidetracked when he takes an interest in one of the other huntresses, Emelia. Then there was something going on with Bleu and two other elves he seemed shocked to see. Some things didn’t feel resolved, but they will likely be addressed in future books. Even though I had a few problems remembering certain things or understanding the significance of a few characters, (my fault for being inconsistent with the series), I still love the scorching romance, the suspense and the world in general. Ms. Heaton never fails at making me want to slap then hug certain heroines; I’ll cry at certain heart-wrenching scenes then feel happy again at the end of it all. I would definitely read this again (for Loke) as part of a series re-read.

I need a friend. Im 16 years old, am in the tenth grade, and have a boyfriend. I am in a wheelchair because i was in a car crash recently. I almost died. I still have trouble. I have problems with depression and a bipolar disorder. I like to dye my hair a lot and right now it is purple with neon orange at the tips. It goes down to just beneath my shoulderblades, and you rarely see it in its natural color, which is brown with dirty blonde streaks. It is thick and wavy. I have stunning hazel eyes. I have two dogs, a cat, a ferret, a rabbit, a hamster, and a frog as my pets. My hobbies are gaming, drawing, reading, and cooking. My favorite animals are the dragon and the wolf. My favorite food is pasta shells with alfredo sauce. Im in a band with my boyfriend and three other friends of mine called Justice Blood. I do the singing and the electric guitar, since i do the best at both. I have been in a lot of scary and deadly situations before, so i know what its like to be on the brink of death. Dont judge me because of my problems because im really a caring and wonderful person who will always be kind to you if youre kind to me. Im just looking for a friend to chat with. If you decide to be my friend, just answer to me, pokemon girl...
