OUTSTANDING! This is not a cliffhanger. It is a deliciously adult book about a woman who escaped from the false rumors by going to medical school. She left the girls who made up stories about her sexual escapades that never exsisted. Once, over a decade ago, Luke saved Daisy from a drunk collegee boy who believed those rumors he had heard. Daisy came back because her father sprained hs back, falling off his tractor. Her story with Luke's was interesting because as a strong woman she had to determine if NY or Chicago was where she really practice mediciene. She wanted the fame and the stimulation of other doctors as the reward for plowing through 11 years of medical school. Now isn't the time for love!!! You are safe choosing to read this book!!!

Coming home after years away, Dr. Daisy Honey hoped she had left behind the small town gossip that ruined her reputation in high school. Her father has been injured in a farming accident and needs her help, and family helps family, no matter what, but Daisy would rather have a root canal then come back to the place that made her life miserable and lonely. Luke Braden has been known for two things, being a breeder of excellent horses and being trouble in his youth. He’s handsome, charming if he wants, but has never settled down with one woman. He’s also the only person to stand up for Daisy when she needed it most all those years ago. When Daisy and Luke cross paths again, they are now adults, both lonely, both with their life paths carved out for them, but will the electricity that sparks between them throw them off course and into each other’s arms? Daisy has no intention of staying in town, and Luke wants a woman who will stand by him, will their attraction be short-lived, only to be doused by distance, or will the heat of their passion solidify their growing bond? Taken by Love by Melissa Foster takes two people, tosses in conflict, romance, humor and the smoldering heat of passion to come up with the perfect romantic read for those who like the flavor of rugged cowboy in their heroes. Add to that the great dialogue and banter and I was hooked. Ms. Foster succeeds in bringing that small town/small minds feel to life, where everyone knows who is doing who and has a definite opinion to share. Her characters are well-developed, some a bit clichéd, but they add to the “essence” of small town charm, playing their part to the hilt. I swear I could smell the coffee, the hay and the sweat from farming in the heat of the Colorado sun. Each scene comes to life as these two dance the dance of denial as their affair can only be short-lived. Will their hearts overrule their heads? Ms. Foster has created a tale that can raise your heart rate, frustrate your romantic side, and keep you asking for more.

## Fantastic read. This is my first book by Melissa, but you can bet I'll be seeking others. I really enjoyed it. Luke was perfection. Holy hotness batman, where do I find myself an older version of him? He was so sweet, loving on his horses. And every time he saw Daisy, he'd say: I missed you (sigh). Daisy was awesome as well. I loved that she was smart AND beautiful. And driving a tractor in daisy dukes with cowboy boots? Nice. Their chemistry was sizzling and totally made me smile. My only complaint is that is was lacking a conflict. There were minor outside conflicts, but none between the hero and heroine. Ergo, one star deduction. Still a sweet, fun, and interesting story.

Little too sappy. A Lot of hang ups that were a bit annoying. Predictable ending.

Daisy couldn't wait to grow up and leave Trusty behind. She had a horrible time in school and now she is deciding where to open her own practice. She has gone back home to help her dad after he was injured. She has never forgot what the girls she went to school with did to her. She also hasn't forgot Luke. Luke has a reputation that just won't leave him. He got into a little trouble and the town won't let him forget it. He is working at being a horse breeder and he didn't expect to run into the feisty Daisy again. He remembers her from school but she is a whole lo different now. Now Luke is wanting Daisy to stay in Trusty with him. He doesn't want to make her mind up for her but he knows he can't let her go. Don't let the rumors in Trusty fool you Luke is not a trouble maker. He is a very amazing guy who tries his best to do the right thing. He is very caring and willing to help anyone. He is also very sexy and when he makes his mind up he goes for it. Daisy is smart and sexy yet when she comes back to town you can see it has an effect on her. She worries a lot about what other people say and what they think. She loves to help people but is afraid ti get close again to the small town. I love these two so much! Every time I think I can't enjoy this author's work anymore she comes out with another story that simply amazes me. This book in some ways has a little more heat than the others but still has the wonderful story line you love if you have read any of this series. I connected so much with this story. The author got the small town living down perfect at least what I have known of it growing up in one. Everyone knows everyone's business and everyone likes to talk. However when you need help they are right there for you. That is what I love about this book besides the two main characters. Daisy has to learn to let go of her past and what happened to her. She has to see everyone grows up at sometime. Luke has to face his past as well. Both even though they are grown ups still have growing and learning to do. I which everyone would read this series and this book. I can't wait to see more of Luke's family and the town of Trusty.

Taken by Love is the story of Daisy Honey and Luke Braden. Daisy is a beautiful girl whose reputation was slaughtered in her high school years by lies and rumors spread by hear jealous female classmates. She left her hometown of Trusty, Colorado right after high school, going to medical school and becoming a doctor. After receiving her degree, she returns to Trusty to help care for her injured father and their ranch, and to decide which big city she will relocate to and begin her career. Luke Braden is, well, a Braden. What can you say? He’s handsome and wealthy. A hard-working, extremely successful horse breeder, and single; and every unattached woman in Trusty would love to corral him. He’s ready to find someone to spend his life with but worries that his past may present a roadblock to his happily ever after. Like everyone else, Daisy has always had a crush on Luke. When she literally runs into him and takes care of a barbed wire cut on his arm, which he has duct taped, she remembers how he had been the only one in high school to stand up for her when things got bad. Luke remembers Daisy, too, and decides he’d like to get to know this grown-up Daisy a little better. So begins a journey of healing for both Luke and Daisy, and the realization that home may really be the best place to be. Though the old animosity is still there, they manage to work through it and the town embraces them and discovers who they really are. This is another wonderful love story from Melissa Foster, for everyone who loves the Braden’s and their magic.

Come take a ride on the side of Trusty. See the other side of the Bradens. Get more of their story and start it all with Luke Braden. He's the baby but he sure packs a lot in. Daisy Honey had no idea that her high school crush would one day mean so much to her. She goes back to the town she vowed to never make her home and find more than just a new person to love and cherish. She finds that maybe the way she saw things all those years ago may have been a bit more than she could understand at that time. If you have ever read a Melissa Foster book you will not be disappointed with this one. I found that romance to be expected but sweet. The passion open yet tame. This by no means was a clean romance but it was sweet with fire. There are scenes of intense pleasure but nothing that would put you off the enjoyment of the listen. B.J. Harrison did a fair job. I found it hard at some points to distinguish male of female, especially when it came to Daisy and Luke (when they were in the same scene). I still enjoyed the listen. The story allows you to feel that you can go home and find something more than you could have ever expected from where you left.

This was a nice read. Both characters had childhood demons they faced, but in the end were able to grow and let love in.

Realistic career and life issues in a small town. I for one could have done without some of the more graphic sex scenes. It ruined the small town, folksy feeling story, throwing in descriptive sex just to have it there.
