Julianne Maclean never fails to deliver! As time travel novel set in the western era, it is not the typical time I like to read about but it was fantastic none the less!! Witty, suspenseful, romantic, dramatic, and steamy all in one!

This book drew me in from the first page! I haven't read a lot of time travel romance books but now I'm thinking maybe I should put more on my list! First we meet Jessica Dempsey. She is a modern day woman who is in the middle of dealing with her own grief and loss when she is in a car accident and the impossible happens....she is catapulted back in time. She finds herself in the wild west. 1800's style!! This is where her adventure begins. She meets sheriff Wade Truman under circumstances that are less then ideal. It seems she has taken on the name Junebug Jess and within hours of her arriving, she has the reputation of a rough and rowdy gunslinger. Truman is one smokin HOT lawman! ¿ He has a certain cowboy charm that would make any modern day woman swoon. He seem to be dangerous, mysterious and ohh soo sensual! Truman and Jess both feel a connection to each other. And before you know it, they set the pages ablaze with their unstoppable passion. *winks* This was truly a fun and entertaining read for me. I absolutely love Truman and Jessica. I loved watching their attraction and trust grow throughout the book. Jessica is a bit unusual in Truman's eyes. And he knows that she is keeping something from him. But he feels a fierce protectiveness towards her and finds himself doing everything he can to keep her out of harms way. Truman is hard around the edges and Jessica knows he doesn't want to get too close. But she can see the soft, caring and loving side of him and she can't seem to put out the fire that burns for him. If you like time travel themed books, then this is a great book to pick up!! It's a branding hot read with an incredibly scorching hot Hero ;) It's fun and entertaining and it will keep you flipping the pages until there are no more left!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book!!

I thought this was contemporary romance, so my jaw dropped when the heroine travels back in time to the Wild West after a car accident. I stopped reading and moved on to another book. Until I found myself without any book to read in my Nook and decided to give this one another chance. I actually enjoyed some chapters describing the love story between the heroine and the Sheriff, but the time travel thing was just too much and the ending, well... let's just say that you have to believe in miracles to digest it. Too much.

Loved the story. Wish the ending was a little longer seems like it was rushed a little just to tie up loose ends. I would of like an epilogue or something.

This is a time travel read is I admit is not my favorite, however I did enjoy the story and the chemistry between Jessica and Truman. The ending was a bit of a twist. Overall, I did find it an entertaining and interesting read.

I give this book 3.5 stars. This is a reworked and re-edited version of one of the books Julianne MacLean wrote earlier in her career. I have read other books from the author and in the series. While the book is part of the Dodge City Brides series, it is a standalone book and does not end in a cliffhanger. Jessica Delaney is driving from Topeka to Dodge during a bad thunderstorm when her car hydroplanes and crashes. She wakes up and can't find her car anywhere. All she sees is open prairie. She starts walking and eventually ends up in Dodge but doesn't recognize anything. Somehow she ended up time traveling to 1881 where she ends up being accused of killing someone. All she wants to do is get back to 2011, her parents, job, and conveniences like indoor plumbing. Truman Wade is the Sheriff in Dodge. He knows that Jessica isn't telling him the whole truth about the killing of Left Hand Lou and her background. Even though he knows she isn't telling him everything, he is drawn to her. Will she tell him the truth about what she is hiding? When Jessica finds a way back to the future, will she take advantage of that knowledge or will she remain in the past to have a future with Truman? Will fate let her stay in the past?

I haven't been a major fan of time-travel stories, until now, even though I have a very strong belief in past lives. After all, anything is possible... This was such an interesting take on life, living and romancing and as the tale unfolded I found myself falling for our hero (they just don't seem to make them like that anymore!) and empathizing with our heroine. The book is so well written that one gets totally lost in its pages. A brilliant story by an extremely versatile and talented authoress. And please tell me that this series/theme is going to continue! An ARC copy of this book was provided by the author at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review.

It was enjoyable. I too was taken back when I realized it was time travel, but I kept guessing how it would end. I of course expected a happy ending but I was wondering how it would happen. Time travel- weird. How else would it end.
