The end came too quick and felt unresolved but good story overall.

I don't usually like the whole stripper scenario, so I was hesitant to read this, but I'm glad I did because I really enjoyed it! There were some really hot moments in this book! I've read plenty of sexy books, and I've sort of started to become tired of the sex scenes, but the scenes in this book were definitely steamy and kept my attention. The chemistry between the characters was off the charts, and they were both interesting characters. Elizabeth is a woman who grew up with money, and who doesn't express herself because she doesn't want to disappoint anyone, so she closes herself off from things she really wants, but thinks aren't good for the image she wants to project. Matt is the owner of a strip club, who grew up poor with parents that did some awful things and Matt is sort of resigned to the way things are in his life; even if he isn't necessarily happy about it. Elizabeth goes to a bachelorette party at Matt's strip club, and Elizabeth is hating the experience until she has an instant connection to the hot guy across the room. Matt issues Elizabeth a challenge that if she comes to the strip club 2 times a week for a month she would begin to enjoy it. Elizabeth decides she is up for the challenge and up for seeing more of Matt; even if she won't admit it, and so it begins. Elizabeth and Matt feel a pull to each other that neither of them can deny, but they both think that they aren't well matched and don't fit in each other's worlds, so they begin a sexy, intense no strings "relationship", but of course it's hard to keep feelings out a sexual relationship, so things start to become complicated when they begin to grow closer. I loved how Matt and Elizabeth's relationship grows, and how they have playful banter with each other. They are really sweet together when they allow themselves to really be true with each other. The scenes in the club were great, and I felt the book had a good flow to it. I was interested till the very end, and I look forward to more for Claire Kent!

Elizabeth is the good girl and has been all her life when she meets the bad boy of a strip clue who knows she can be more if she just lets herself go. When good meets bad things gets very interesting as the good girl turns bad not everyone will be happy. The author gives you a great plot the underline is just being yourself not what others want you to be. That it is ok to be you and still be a wonderful person, daughter etc. The book starts off hot and ends hot with lots of sex scenes that will burn up your pages. Elisabeth learns that you do not always have to be good that it is okay to let her hair down. Matt learns you can still be a wonderful person no matter your background. Sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too. The author gives you wonderful characters you can relate to as well as supporting characters. I can’t say Elisabeth’s parents were my favorite people. I would have liked to have seen how they handled her being in a relationship with Matt. I would call this more of an Erotic Romance than a Contemporary Romance. I thought this was a good read just nothing that reaches out and grabs me to make it stand out from all the rest like it. I just do not see a snobby women giving in that easy. She is from money but it doesn’t seem to be her world even though she has nice things she doesn’t rub it in your face. I really liked her character but thought she came on way to strong in the beginning about it not being her scene. I agree with her I do not care too much for places like this. I just think that was an over kill. Matt was a wonderful character who most women would adore. There wasn’t anything about him I didn’t like. I do not understand why so much time was given to his mother when you do not even know if she went straight or not. I think that could have been touched on but most of it left out. All in all I thought this was an okay read with a wonderful plot. The chemistry between the main characters was powerful you can feel it from the start. This worked well with me. I liked Matt’s history of the strip club. The author gave a wonderful story of his background and how he became the owner. What really worked for me was how Matt showed Elisabeth how easy it is to loosen up and be her self. There will be readers who are going to love this read and won’t be able to put it down. I hope you will give this story a try as I am sure many will adore it.

Elizabeth was a bride's maid in Melissa's wedding. She was at her friend's bachelorette party at a strip club. She met Matt, who issued her a challenge. The book was great. All the reasons why Elizabeth shouldn't care just didn't matter, how she grew to lose the cover she wore to please everyone and become the real her. I loved the story and plot, especially the two main characters. I highly recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

Elizabeth is the daughter of a gubernatorial candidate. She is a rich, uptight, introverted over-all good girl. She is expected to be proper at all times. Wear the right clothes, attend the right functions, have the right boyfriend. Matt is the total opposite. He does not come from money. He has worked for everything he has. His mother is a drug addict, who he helps care for. Elizabeth is talked into attending a bachelorette party at a strip club. However she is not particularly comfortable in this type of setting. It is just not her type of scene. Matt, the owner of the club notices Elizabeth. He can tell she is not having a god time. Being a prior stripper, he decides to strip to see if he can get any reaction out of Elizabeth. This sure perks up her attention. He challengers her to come to the club twice a week for one month. As she begins to spend more time at the club, she and Matt become closer. However it seemed like all they ever do is have sex in the office/car and because of this, it was hard to connect to the characters. There did not seem to be much substance to the story other than the sex. While I like this author’s book, I just don’t feel this is one of her best. However that will not stop me from continuing to read others by her.

It's HOT, and it's filled with sexy strippers, steamy sex and some romance thrown in to boot! Elizabeth Marks is at her old college roommates bachelorette party, and she's hating it. Strippers gyrating all over the place are just NOT her cup of tea. She's barely hanging in there, when she spots the sexy guy standing over at the bar. When she goes to take a breather later in the evening, she runs into him and they chat. He dares her to show back up at the club twice a week for the next month so he can show her that it's more than she sees at face value. Matt Stokes is the owner of Bare Assets, and when he's trying to make Elizabeth admit that there can be a sexy side to the club even if she's not into it, he decides to show her by taking the stage himself even though he doesn't dance very much anymore. Elizabeth doesn't want to like the place, but she wants to see Matt again, so she shows back up. Will they act on their attraction for each other or will they decide their lives are too different and walk away? ** Received free in exchange for an honest review **

This is one hot story. Elizabeth is unwilling to have fun because she may disappoint her family until she meets Matt, a former stripper and now owner of a strip club. The difference in their status in life makes it hard for either to think anything can happen between them on a permanent basis. Elizabeth decides to seize the moment and let loose. Matt is happy to oblige. Caught in a compromising position, they deal with fall out from all around them and from within each other. She is the first to lay her heart on the line, and he hopes it is not too late for them when he finally realizes that he has changed. I do recommend this story and warn about the sizzle between these two. I had a chance to read this through Netgalley for an honest review.

Good girl meets bad boy. Elizabeth has always been the good girl and when she ends up at a strip club for a bachelorette party she can’t get out of there fast enough. Until Matt stops her talks her into coming back in and sparks begin to fly. This was an ok read for me a little slow in spots and I knew what was coming. I like the characters and plenty of steam between them. An enjoyable read.

Ms Kent has become of my favorite authors. Elizabeth Marks is at a male strip club, and she’s disgusted. She thinks it’s so vulgar. Not sexy at all. She wants to just leave, but she is with a friend’s bachelorette party and can’t really leave her friends. She sees a man talking to the bartender nothing special about him, but she can’t stop watching him. When she happens to glance at him, she sees he was watching her. After a trip to the ladies room to get away from it all, he approaches her. They start to talk about how she doesn’t like the strip club. He introduces himself as Matt Stokes, and challenges her to come twice a week for a month and he is sure she’ll change her mind about the club. Matt Stokes owns the club, like his father before him. He started at the club as a stripper. He’s drawn to Elizabeth, she seems fragile, delicate to him, so why does he want to take her hard. Although he hasn’t stripped in a while, he takes to the stage, doing a slow and sexy strip, unlike the other strippers, and Elizabeth is captivating and can’t take her eyes from him. Ms Kent always tells an intriguing, sexy story. Her characters are always captivating. This book is no different. I couldn’t put this book down and read it straight through. Stayed up most of the night, but so worth it! Matt and Elizabeth’s story is seductive and steamy. I can’t recommend this book enough. I was gifted a copy of the book by NetGalley for an honest review.

I haven't seen the movie Magic Mike (I know, I'm an anomaly among romance readers) but I was intrigued by the good girl/bad boy premise of this story. Elizabeth is a special needs teacher for elementary school, daughter of a man on a political trajectory and an all around good girl. When a bachelorette party leads to a strip club, she rolls her eyes, but toughs it out, not at all interested in the men on stage or the raucous atmosphere. But the owner of the club, Matt, sees in her a woman just waiting for the chance to lose the stiff facade and get down and dirty - and he wants it to be with him. Now mostly out of the stripping mode, he's willing to dance for Elizabeth if it will get her to notice him. And notice him she does. A bet, a dare, and a week later, Elizabeth returns to the strip club determined to prove to Matt that he's so not her type. But one things leads to another and suddenly she's having the hottest sex of her life! But is sex all there is between them or can the intimacy they develop sexually turn into a real relationship? I quite enjoyed this story. I've always liked Claire Kent's writing and I know to expect lots of hot scenes and this one definitely has those. I actually would have been just as satisfied with the story if there were less sex scenes (I know! so bizarre to say that!) as they kind of blended into each other after a while. But what I really liked was seeing Matt and Elizabeth have to come to terms with the parts of themselves that they've hidden away for so long. For Elizabeth it's doing things for herself, like dating a man whom her family wouldn't approve of, just because she can. And for Matt, it's realizing that if he wants to have something with Elizabeth for the long term, he'll have to really think about what he wants in the future and not just live with the status quo. Both of them have complicated relationships with their families that affect how they interact with each other, and what expectations they have for each other. I really liked having both points of view told, getting into Matt's head was particularly interesting. The motivations for why he chose this career and his feelings about it now versus as a younger man are delved into and make it clear he's just not a pretty face with a killer body. The behind the scenes look at the strip club was quite neat to read about too. I found it an entertaining and sexy read. 4 stars.

Elizabeth is a woman who wants the perfect life. She doesn't like to disappoint people and is a little uptight. She goes to a strip club for a friend's bachelorette party. She is a little disgusted by the vulgar way they dance. She goes to the restroom and meets a gorgeous guy. Matt owns the club and was a stripper at one time. He has always had to take care of his drug addicted mother. He believes his life is as good as it will get. He challenges her to come for one month and let loose and see if she doesn't enjoy herself. Elizabeth and Matt start an incredibly smoking hot affair. They have sex in her car, against her car, and in his office. But when a video turns up, all heck breaks loose. Her father was going to announce his run for governor and her parents are very disappointed. She looses her job. So she has to move to a smaller place. Matt thinks he's not good enough for her and ends it before either gets too deep. But he can't forget her and realizes having hope is not a bad thing. *RECEIVED A COPY FROM NETGALLEY*

I must say this one caught me off guard - in a very good way. I was on the fence about reading this one but now I am so glad I did. A fantastic opposites attract story with Preschool teacher Elizabeth being the ultimate good girl. Attending her best friends bachelorette party may be the death of her. Not really getting the appeal of male dancers she's ready to bolt. That is until club owner and dancer Matt Stokes convinces her to give the club a chance to help her find her passionate side. Matt's had a rough life, but he's come through ok. Stripping wasn't his ultimate dream but it hasn't been the worst life. Now though. After meeting Elizabeth, he's ready for more. Much more. A very entertaining read I would definitely recommend.
