Overview

From Avatar: The Last Airbender, I'm Aang--and this is the tale of my journey through the Earth Kingdom. I traveled there with my friends Katara and Sokka to find an Earthbending teacher. I'm not sure why, but we ran into trouble almost everywhere we went. We got chased by Prince Zuko's sister, Azula, and got caught in a sinking library. Did I mention that Appa got kidnapped by Sandbenders? There were definitely some scary moments... but I can't complain about getting stuck in the Cave of Two Lovers with Katara! All in a day's work for the Avatar, right?

Aang was a male Air Nomad, born in 12 BSC, and the Avatar during the conflict known as the Hundred Year War. His previous incarnation was Avatar Roku and his current reincarnation is Avatar Korra. Aang ran away in 1 ASC and was frozen in an iceberg for almost a century. He awoke in a world engulfed by war and fighting. Aang, however, remained a goofy, fun-loving kid at heart during his year-long struggle. He was also one of few Avatars to have known, and actively use the ability of energybending. After the war ended, Aang began a romantic relationship with his close friend, Katara, later resulting in marraige with three children: Kya, a waterbender, Bumi, a nonbender who became a airbender later in life, and Tenzin, another airbender.

My name is Aang.I'm the Avate. I'm also an Airbender. My friend Katara has been teaching me waterbending. She's become an amazing Waterbender! Katara and her brother, Sokka, are traveling with me, helping me to master all four elements--air,water,earth,fire--so I can defeat Fire Lord Ozai and the fire Nation, and bring peace to the four nation. All in a day's work for the Avatar, right? Next on my list is to learn earthbending. So Katar,Sokka,my lemur Momo, and I are flying on my sky bison,Appa, to the city of Omashu in the earth kingdom to find my old pal King Bumi.I can't wait to learn earthbending from him!
