About the Author

I graduated from Virginia Tech with my degree in Political Science: Legal Studies. Right after college I went to work for the Secret Service in Washington, D.C. I trained at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC) for six months. After leaving the White House, I utilized my Top Secret: SCI/Full Scope Polygraph and accepted a job with a consulting firm in McLean, Virginia working with the Department of State, CIA, National Counterterrorism Center, and other Intelligence communities. In January of 2021 I self-published my first book, "Talk Back Barbie: The Secret Service Edition." It is a comedy about my experience working with the Secret Service as a girly-girl and how I got where I am today. My life motto is: "If you trip and fall, laugh first, then get up and keep going! Because the only way you fail is to never get up."

Very entertaining read. I enjoyed how the character of 'Talk back Barbie' began and evolved into a grown, young, strong woman and realized her mistakes as well as her accomplishments. All this written humorously, keeping the reader's interest, waiting for the next chuckle. A fun, quick read.

The humor reminds me of "Legally Blonde" meets "Miss Congenality." So much fun learning what goes into training with the Secret Service. Makes you realize that not too many people could pass such rigorous training. Great read.
