I liked the concept of this book from the start however, the writing left me bored. I got the feeling that Nunberg really just wanted to rip on the right more than write a book that ripped on the right's hijacking of political language. Frankly, the book read like a textbook, which considering the author, might have been the whole point. Furthermore, I think his use of grammar ranked pretty low. I have very little tolerance for authors, no matter how famous they have become, that end sentences with prepositions or split infinitives.
