After burying two husbands, a man is not on the horizon in Kate LeBlanc's vision for the second half of her life. Especially not the intriguing young hottie with shadows in his eyes that charmingly crashes her trip down memory lane in the Tallulah Cove sand.
Recovering from an injury that could threaten his major league shortstop career, a woman comes forward claiming Sebastian Macina is the father of her unborn baby thrusting his already uncertain career into the spotlight and bringing his character into question. In turmoil, he seeks refuge in Tallulah Cove to heal and to clear his name.
Despite her resolve to give up men and his desire to lay low, their love of verbal sparring and growing attraction propel them toward one another, consequences be damned.

Kate LeBlanc has a history that has branded her a “black widow”. She survived the deaths of her first then second husbands, whom she truly loved, although they were both older men. She is not going to try again, but instead live her life as she chooses…that is until she meets Sebastian Macina. Sebastian is a dozen years younger than her, a pro baseball player and a hottie. He is dealing with a medical injury that if it does not heal may prevent him from rejoining his team. He is intrigued by the woman he sees with the “hot” car and when he meets her, their attraction is sizzling. Kate is definitely not ready for commitment, but enjoys her time spent with Sebastian. Will he be able to convince her that he is sincere, especially when a woman claims that he has fathered her unborn child? The dialog, love scenes and story line in this story are so amusing and heartfelt that you will want to read this book all over again (I did). A great second story in Tallulah Cove. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
For those of you that read book one in this series,( if you haven’t I highly recommend you do), you met Kate LeBlanc. She’s the older sister of Abby, twice widowed and still carrying her late husband’s ashes. At the beach she meets Sebastian Macina , successful baseball player recovering from an injury that might end his career. He is instantly smitten by Kate, and as much as Kate is attracted to him, he is 12 years younger. Confession time- I stay away from stories about older women younger men, but knowing it was written by this author, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. As the story continues , we see the struggles Kate is facing with her past, and the age difference. When things seem to be moving ahead, something happens that makes Kate question her feelings. It’s a story about letting go of the past, and taking a chance in the future. About overcoming insecurities and gossip. And above all , it’s a story about finding hope, “home” , and “the one” you want to spend the rest of your life. Another well written story by this talented author. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
