Clint and Alyssa had been married for an undercover job that they had been pair up for as a married couple wanting to adopt a baby -- illegally. The assignment that they both thought might take several weeks was over in one week. Alyssa had resigned from the Ranger¿s and Clint had gone on to another assignment. Five years later Clint Westmoreland resigned from the Texas Ranger¿s and joined his cousin Durango and his brother-in-law McKinnon Quinn in their million-dollar horse-breeding business base in Montana. Durango and McKinnon wanted to expand their company in Texas. Clint had brought his sister Casey and his brother Cole¿s share of their uncle¿s ranch that they had inherit for the new addition in Texas. Everything was looking up until Clint and Alyssa received a letter that they were still married. Clint and Alyssa goes the see their old boss at Texas Ranger¿s office and learns that to get their marriage annulled they will have to live together and in the same house for a month. Alyssa moves in with Clint but when their month is over she will move back to Waco or will she? Brenda Jackson brings another tall, dark and handsome male who thinks that he will do things his way. Or will this beautiful, sexy woman tame him? Clint will discover that he will be in for the fight of his life to stay single. Alyssa has to over come her past to be free to find true love. This was a story that I didn¿t want to end. Enjoy the reunion of this family that makes you want to come back for more.

I read this book a while ago.  It's well written and follows the basic romance format.  My only complaint about this book is it doesn't appear any research was done before writing the story.  I personally know several Texas Rangers.  There is a process to becoming a Ranger; it's not a job a person applies for without already working for Texas DPS.  This information is easily available, so it wouldn't have taken much for Ms. Jackson to do the research.
