About the Author

Alyssa Bailey is a dyed in the wool Texan living in the beauty of Southeast Alaska with her husband, her youngest four (of eleven) children, two dogs and two cats. Her first memory of books was when her mother read to her as a small child. She began writing as soon as she could put letters together to form words. Her first story at the age of six was about a performing horse that ran away from the circus. As she got older and read more of a variety of books, she would say, “I can do better than that” and then rewrite them in her head. She was writing fanfiction before fanfiction was a ‘thing’.

In high school and college, she won journalism and special recognition for her academic and fictional writing. Alyssa is a firm believer in all things spanking. She loves writing about domestic discipline and power exchanges between strong, intelligent women who are not afraid to make a stand and men confident enough to give them their space but Alpha enough to keep his woman safe, in spite of herself. Her characters predominately live in Regency England amongst lords and ladies, in the contemporary realm amongst men and women of the world, and all things Cowboy. Contact her, she loves to chat, and as always, have a Spankolicious day!

This fast paced, Western romance was very enjoyable. Texanna and Colt are drawn to each other and then forced to marry before they are ready. Colt has the support of his mother and grandmother who have taught him well how to treat a woman. A mystery develops around the couple but all ends well. Texanna earned her fair share and more of discipline, and some fine loving as well. I very much enjoyed the Native American content of the story and the respectful way the author wove their lore into the story.

This was a wonderful fast paced page turner with lots of action and unexpected twists and turns. A sweet kindhearted stubborn young lady who feelings of being abandoned by her mother, hated by her father who continued to physically abuse her left her feeling insecure and lonely. Her stern Native American husband loves her deeply and she is in a constant struggle with herself learning to trust his love. There are many spankings, some harsh but given with love and an intense happy sexual relationship. The storyline is well written with excellent character development, good dialogue and more. I highly recommend this book.

Wonderful story of an abandoned girl who grew up with an abusive parent. She finds love with a gentle but firm man who teaches her trust. Aided by his mother and grandmother, he also teaches her how a loving family should act. It was nice to have a lead character be a native American and explore a native American family. There was a great mystery and a realistic ending for everyone. My only issue with the story was that the heroine continued to act out and almost consciously get in trouble after being helped and loved by the hero. It was a little hard for me to understand why she was throwing away happiness. That said, the book was very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT. This book really resonated with me. I felt a connection with Texanna. Also having been abandoned by a parent and raised by an abusive man I thought was by father, I felt her need to push Colton and to test his word. However I still found myself thunking my hand on my forehead wondering when she was going to get with the program and start thinking before she acted. I was so glad that the relationship with her mother was not unrealistically resolved. I enjoyed the mystery aspect, and unexpected(?) twist into Marks identity and the helpful shooter also. A bit put off by the euphemisms used, but that's just a issue I often have with the romance genera. Overall well worth the read.

Texanna is definitely a defiant strong willed woman who does what she wants. Colton is the first person to show that he truly cares about her. He rescues her from an abusive relationship with her father. and makes her his wife. Along the path to getting to know each other there is lots of adventure, sex, discipline and suspense. If you enjoy a fast moving western romance this story will fit the bill.

This was a really good book that I would happily read again. Texanna has had an unfortunate upbringing having been abandoned by her mother and abused by her father. Texanna and Colt fall in love but she finds it hard to follow his instructions when she was used to relying on herself has she has done for many years. Discipline and consistency proved beneficial and the relationship became strong.

I thought this book was awesome. The characters had so much depth and were unique; I really liked so many of them and hated others. The plot was fascinating with so much going on throughout the book. The mystery and suspense were great, but I also loved the lack of suspense that came from the "intuition" of Colton's family. Texanna's need for discipline was consistent and Colton delivered. Their relationship was heartwarming and I enjoyed every bit of it. I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed this story. I liked Texanna and Colt. Colt tries to teach Texanna to react to situations that upset her in a healthy way that wont endanger her. Texanna has abandonment issues and Colt does his best to provide the love, comfort and security she never had growing up. I especially liked that her problems with her parents weren't easily resolved as I think this is realistic as was the time it took getting to know Colt's mother and grandmother and learning to find her place in the household as Colt's wife. A good story.

Taming Texanna is a must read for any one who enjoys a historical fiction filled with love, spankings, family, mystery, and intrigue. This well written and well developed story revolves around Texanna Rae, "Anna" and Colton; however, it also includes other family members. While Anna's father is a horrible person, others such as Colton's mother and grandmother are absolutely wonderful. I love how the author brought the Native American culture into this story through Colton's heritage. As the story evolves not only does the love story continue to grow , so does the mystery and intrigue. Read to see how the Addler gang is involved in Anna's and Colton' life and who the third person of the gang is. I highly recommend enjoying this wonderful book as Alyssa Bailey does not disappoint . Loved it!

I am really enjoying the latest books by this author. Colton is just what Texanna needs. Abandoned by her mother and abused by the man that raises her, she hasn't really known love, or discipline. She is a bit of a wild spirit. Colton with his Indian heritage is just the one to appreciate her wild spirit and discipline her in a way that makes her thrive. I love that Colton's Pia and Kaku are their to help Texanna as well. She is a feisty woman and Colton is the strong, loving man she needs.

This is a very enjoyable book to read. The heroine, Texanna (Anna), is a wonderful feisty lady that reacts to events without first thinking through her actions, which causes many adventures and lots of spanking. The hero, Colton(Colt), is a strong dominant man that is able to give Anna what she needs to feel secure and loved, including some harsh but loving punishments. At some parts of the book, the story line seemed to move a bit slowly which is why I did not rate a five but it will definitely provide entertainment and a feeling of pleasure for the reader.

I LOVE YOU, TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH AND BACK I enjoyed this very emotional and intense mystery, suspense story. Texanna Rae “Anna” can’t seem to win for losing in life. Her mother abandoned her when she was four-years-old, then her older brother left when she was about fourteen, and father treats her with disdain and so much anger, issuing harsh punishments. He has been trying to pawn Anna off to various men for marriage against her wishes. Marshall Colton McFadden is good at his job, has gained the respect of the judge and many of the citizens, but some people still look down on him because he is a half-breed. One minor mistake with her friend, one unplanned situation that leads to correction by Colt and then for Mr. Grant to find out makes him force a marriage of these two, but maybe this isn’t a bad thing. The plot kept me captivated and the pages turning in this story with several Indians, their uncanny ability to sense things, a wild-child woman who is defiant, argumentative, ecstatic, heartbroken and everything in between. She is struggling with feeling tossed away by everyone and has a hard time trusting Colt, which causes her to do the craziest things and be in more trouble. His discipline settles her, and she is trying to find her peace in his home with his mother and grandmother. Not everyone is who they appear, and sometimes Anna is too trusting. There is a danger lurking, and it is closer than you think. There is a great cast of characters, situations, and dialog.
