About the Author

Edee Courtney was born at the height of the Baby Boom, 1950, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She ended up a little fair haired Cracker girl in the predominantly Latino neighborhood of West Tampa, Florida in the early 60's, when her mother married her marvelous step-father.

She attributes her love of writing to three people, her Junior High School English teacher Mr. Lindsay. Her High School English teacher, Mrs. Gail Gallagher, who encouraged her to keep a journal, and Mr. Buddy Tappe her High School, History teacher, who instilled in her a great love for Rod McKuen and modern poetry.

Sunny, Marcus, Trebor and the rest of her characters were born from the pages of Edee's lifetime of journaling.

Edee is married, and has four wonderful children and eleven amazing grand-children. She worked for over thirty years in the music industry, and just recently retired and has pursued her lifelong dream of writing a book or four about the characters she created years ago.
