Tartok: The Ice Beast (Beast Quest Series #5) by Adam Blade

One boy's journey to help his village becomes a quest to save the kingdom. Features a fearsome new beast in every book! Even the most remote parts of the kingdom have not been spread from Malvel's wrath. The great ice flats have been thrown into chaos. Most of the people have fled, fearing for their lives. The dangerous weather changes and mysterious midnight attacks have driven most of them away. But if Tom and Elenna cannot stop the Ice Beast, the effects will be felt far beyond the frozen North. As they strive to find a way to free Arcta from the evil enslavement to the dark wizard Malvel, Tom learns more about his mysterious father--and his own destiny as well.

About the Author

Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father's paintings of historic English battles which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father's office. Adam’s father said they were a Blade family heirloom.

Sadly, Adam does not have his own Ice Dragon or Ghost Panther. But he really wishes he did!

The book was good because Tom had to battle on ice and Tartok made the ice crack and that is why there is a lot of action. The illustations are cool becase the pictures are mysterious.

I liked this book because Tom fought on the ice. But he never fell in. And there was a 500 lb monster on the ice. And mine came with a free poster!

It has been mislabeled (you'll see #3 show up twice). this is actually the 5th in the series. My 7 and 9 year old boys really enjoy this series. They are both good readers, so might not be for your average 7 year old.

I am Hero. My sister in real life is actually known as Icestar in the Nook world, because Icestar is rped by my sister in real life. When I heard IceClan was becoming inactive, I was shocked. I asked Ice (in real life of course) what happened, and she said she didn't really feel like coming back. I was shocked that my sister would do such a thing, but I just may be able to convince her to come back. I hope there are people left to read this...
