the ending was slightly anticlimactic.

The premir of the book is good and it's well developed. My problem? The writing. It felt very repetitive. In one paragraph I don't need to read the phrase "after we got married..." followed by "we were married" followed by "married to young" yes all of this was in ONE paragraph. When it switched to Brooke's pov - I think I read variations of "it's my birthday" at least 20 times in the chapter. And don't get me started on how many ways Brooke informed the reader that she raised her sister. It was VERY distracting.

An ok read that got better as the story line progressed. As an older reader, the language used extensively through out the book offended me - was it really necessary? You feel empathty for the main character and later I found out, the author as they went through a similar experience, but I don't feel the need to read more in this series.

Loved this story of Brooke and Easton! This book was a little slow in the beginning but once it picked up I couldn't put it down.  Sometimes we get stuck in a rut and life turns us down a unexpected path that might change everything. Brooke unsure of where things  are going with her boyfriend Jared. Her friend Nicole gets them tickets to a cruise that might change her world forever.... Easton a single dad who works a ton and only hooks up with women for one night goes on a cruise with his best friend Avery. He meets someone who makes him change his mind about everything he ever believed in. "The greatest relationships are the ones that you never expect. The ones that challenge you, make you a better person and challenge how you thought your life would be." "People are brought into our lives for many reasons. Over time, we find out what those reasons are. Some are to be temporary acquaintance while others are there for life."

At first I thought that both Brooke and Easton were crude and I didn't know if I wanted to finish their story. However, the more I got into it, the more they started to grow on me and they didn't seem so crude anymore. They both started changing on the cruise and definitely changed for the better after the cruise. I wasn't surprised with what happened with Jared, you just get a feeling what he is really doing and I'm glad that Brooke didn't take his excuses and give him a second chance. For awhile, I couldn't figure out where the title came from since there are no mention of tattoos, but when Brooke receives hers, it makes sense. I was glad to find out that Brooke and Easton's story is not over yet.

Another FIVE star book by Kimberly Knight!!! I can't get enough of her writing!! This is a story about Brooke and Easton. I liked watching them grow personally and emotionally throughout the book. I really love the secondary characters in this story!! I waited very patiently for Avery and Nicoles story to come out. The love story in this book seemed more realistic because it wasnt always sweet but at times messy but thats ok. Brooke believes that people come into our lives for a reason and eventually we discover what that reason is. I am glad Easton was her reason. Keep up the great work Kimberly. I would recommend this book the everyone!!!

What can I say Kimberly knocked it out of the park with this one. When I found out she was writing another book I thought how could she top Brandon & Spencer, but she did. Easton & Brooke's story is all about second chances and boy did they both deserve it. I hated E at the beginning but fell in love with him so fast such a broken sole that needed fixing. Their journey to find happiness is such a emotional struggle you will hate what E has done in the past to shape who he is today, but that one chance he took made him who he is now. Brooke such a sad person trying to move forward day to day just goes with the flow type of girl. The once chance meeting led to true happiness has its ups and downs its not always pretty or hearts and flowers but the way Kimberly wrote the story has you feeling that you are right there with them. I laughed and cried wanted to throw my kindle at times but it was so worth it..... Great story and I cant wait until the next book.

I love love love Easton Crawford! This book was more than I expected and I love that Easton has a daughter, you don't see that often in these types of stories. The only thing that makes me sad is that I have to wait for their story to continue. Awesome job Kimberly Knight!

Kimberly Knight is brilliant and she has written an amazing novel!  Tattooed Dots is a beautifully written love story about two soul mates finding each other after years of searching and yearning for something they didn't know existed until they found each other.  Their journey is about overcoming the low valleys and high mountains together and building the life they both earnestly wish to obtain. From the Prologue, I was addicted to Easton’s struggle.  Throughout the story, my heart began to flutter even more as this strong alpha male fell hard for the beautifully strong Brooke.  It all began with a birthday gift from Brooke’s best friend, Nicole.  They are going on a cruise to Mexico.  Easton’s best friend, Avery decides the best way to find his soul mate is to drag his wingman on a single’s cruise, too.  Little do they know, but all four of their lives will change forever in only 8 days.  The four meet during the fire drill and become inseparable.  Brooke is up front and honest with Easton making sure he knows she has a boyfriend at home and is only here for her best friend.  Avery and Nicole fall hard for each other and Easton and Brooke end up spending time together building a strong bond of friendship while secretly wishing they could act upon their desires for one another.  At the end of the cruise, Brooke is scared by her feelings towards Easton and leaves a note saying she needs time to decide how she feels.  Easton is unsure if they will have a future together. There is an underlying problem with Brooke’s shoulder during the course of the story and even though her doctor has prescribed pain pills for it thinking it was only a pulled muscle, the pain continues to worsen.  Nicole is concerned and schedules an appointment with the doctor she works for.  From there the emotional roller coaster begins.  Both couples are intertwined so perfectly!  You can feel the turmoil, anguish, lust, and eventually love that they share.  Even though this is Easton and Brooke’s story you also able to follow the beginning of the fiery relationship of their best friends.   Overall, this is a remarkable novel that I highly recommend you read.  The author develops each characters’ flaws, desires, hopes, and dreams; thus enabling you to feel a close connection to them.  I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.  Tremendous story, Kimberly!  Thank you for creating these incredible characters, and delivering a novel full of hours of entertaining romance with a happily ever after ending. ~Flo Overall Rating:  4.5 Rockin Stars Hero:  4.5 stars Heroine:  5 stars Plot:  4.5 stars Steam level: 4 stars Cliffhanger:  No Would I recommend this book:  Yes.  From beginning to end, this story is an amazingly beautiful romantically sweet read about finding your true soul mate and never letting go!  Would I recommend this author:  Yes! This author can bring her thoughts and emotions from her imagination to words.  Kimberly Knight knows how to deliver a thought provoking saga that leaves you begging for more.   ***Received an ARC of this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review***

Tattooed Dots --- an emotional, heartbreaking, romantic, funny, sexy, courages book.  It will make you cry; you will feel emotions; many will be able to relate. It's a romantic read with a story. A story of a courages woman. Worth a read. Trust me. "People are brought into our lives for many reasons. Over time, we find out what those reasons are. Some are to be a temporary acquaintance while others are there for life."  I really enjoyed this book!! I saw it floating around FB when it was released & the title of the book caught my eye. I read the synopsis & added it to my TBR list. Lately I am very cautious about reading books of authors I have not heard of before...why? Only because lately it's usually the same story line, the same ending, just different names. Then I saw Kimberly Knight was at the NYC book signing so I ended up bumping the book up! I wasn't able to finish it before I met Kimberly but when I met her I did tell her I was really enjoying the book. Later that weekend, I finished it. I loved it! Kimberly Knight is on my list of authors to look out for for new books! The title??? I couldn't figure it out how it went with the book...and then it made sense. Very nicely done!!! Though it did make me cry.  The plot, the characters, the story was unexpected. I love unexpected. I have to admit...I hated Easton at the beginning of the it & you will see why. and then... I ended up falling for Easton!! You will need to read for yourself & see why....I promise, you will be SWOONING!! He was perfect. I love when the characters build a friendship first...not jump into a bed on the first night. Props to the author!! "The greatest relationships are the ones that you never expect. The ones that challenge you, make you a better person and challenge how you thought your life would be." I cannot wait for the second book in the series.

Having read and loved Kimberly’s B&S Series I was excited for the release of this new book.  The synopsis caught my eye immediately and the four new characters and a singles cruise were always going to be a recipe for a good story in my opinion and I wasn’t wrong!   We meet Easton and Avery, the rather delicious sounding owners of Halo, a bar in New York.  Both seem to have a reputation with the ladies and to be honest I can see why.  Easton is a single father to his ten-year-old daughter Cheyenne and after losing his wife tragically, has shied away from serious relationships.  He is by no means celibate but uses, then tosses the women aside.  Avery is looking for Mrs Right and suggests the cruise as a way to help him on his road to happiness. Then enters Brooke and her single friend Nicole.  Nicole buys the cruise as a present to Brooke for her thirtieth birthday but omits to tell her it is a singles cruise until the last minute.  Brooke is stuck in a rut of a relationship with a selfish and unappreciative nerdy gamer dude by the name of Jared.  Inevitably one out of each of the pairs hit it off immediately and the other two are left as bystanders to the emerging romance.  I loved the element of knowing that potentially a second romance could blossom on the cruise and the awkwardness of the situation as the cruise comes to an end left me with a sense of anticipation.  The main part of the story actually focuses on life after the cruise and the diagnosis of a serious illness in one of the main characters.  The suspense of not knowing what was happening right along with the character added a really refreshing element to the book for me!   In fact, it got to the point where I practically pulled an all-nighter to finish the book because I HAD to find out whether things turned out ok in the end!   I really fell for Easton even though he initially came across as a totally selfish womaniser with no feelings for anyone other than himself.  His journey through the book was charming to read and the multi perspective of the book made sure that you really got to know him.  Without giving too much away, his behavior whilst on the cruise, especially the way in which he just wasn’t interested in any of the no strings attached women on the cruise, really made me believe that he was captivated and willing to change.  His relationship with his daughter also melted my heart and any man who devotes himself to his daughter like that wins it for me! Brooke was also someone that I actually related to especially with her relationship with Jared.  I am sure that before we all meet the one there is the one relationship that you stick with out of habit almost.  Plus the journey that she has to endure through the book is so bittersweet in places and you can’t help wishing for her to catch a break!  After spending the latter part of her childhood raising her much younger sister then to be thrown into the life and relationship we find her in you really want her to come out of the book smelling of roses.  Does she? Well I’m not one for offering spoilers in a review so read it and find out! Finally Avery and Nicole are also a big part of the story but this book in the main focuses on the will they won’t they romance of Easton and Brooke and the mountains they both have to climb to get out of the lives they have lead.  Avery and Nicole were a great side story and both great supporting friends.  The next book in the series is their book and I seriously cannot wait! I’ve given this book a five star rating, mainly because I liked the different approach to romance it offered and also because it was nice for once not to have a book that was too angsty but still had suspense and whole lot of obstacles in the way.

I loved this. I think the more Kimberly Knight writes the better she gets. She (and her editor) did a good job with editing this, only a couple typos. I am not used to the back and forth with the characters, but as I got used to it the more it seemed to flow. Brooke had a crappy home life at a young age and step up to the plate to raise her sister and then fell into a crappy life for a while with a crappy boyfriend. Her life became meaningful again when her best friend bought her a birthday cruise for a singles trip. Easton was in the same boat so to say, as his friend talked him into going with him on the same singles cruise. Brooke and Easton's relationship evolved from the trip some what on a short amount of time but when you find the person you are meant to be with it is just meant to be no matter what amount of time. The characters all flowed together nicely. As I got to the end of the book I was starting to get very sad because of all the things that have been dealt to Brooke. She had a crappy childhood, had to grow up way too young and then ended up with the big "C". I can't wait to read the next chapter (book) to see how Brooke and Easton come out and to read the story of Nicole and Avery. Write Kimberly write!

After finishing Tattooed Dots, I've come to the conclusion, this is my favorite book. I cannot wait to have the hard copy in my hands! Now for my review: I don't even know where to start, this was probably Kimberly's best story yet, even though the B&S series is amazing as well! When I read the prologue, I was hooked immediately, I was like HOLY S*^&!! I had a busy couple days so I didn't get to finish until right now (& I'm wishing I could've finished sooner) but I absolutely loved this. I had so many emotions, I don't want to give any spoilers away... Brooke is such a strong woman, she is definitely Superwoman! Easton is an amazing man, he is a great father as well. I can't wait for more Brooke & Easton and Avery & Nicole as well!!! Big hugs to you Kimberly for writing this story! <3

want to start off by saying please do not let the name of this book fool you.... this isn't the story of some tattooed bad boy. It is so much more!!! This is a story of letting go of the leeches in our lives, growing up and moving beyond our past, learning to love and open up to others, overcoming obstacles (some which may be out of control) and leaning on others in our time of need. While reading the prologue I was disgusted with Easton's behavior but I also wasn't too thrilled with the way Dana was acting either. They both were very immature and only seemed to want the other to suffer. Easton and Dana are currently in the middle of a nasty divorce and their daughter Cheyenne is stuck in the middle. I hated him at one moment and then my heart broke for him at another moment and I just wanted to hold and comfort him. The emotions just in the prologue was enough to keep me reading. I was pulled in immediately wanting to know what was going to happen to Easton. We are also introduced to Brooke. She is in a dead end relationship with Jared which I don't understand why she just didn't end that night they went out for her birthday. There was obviously something off with him and she deserved so much more than what she was getting with Jared. So, Brooke's friend Nicole decides to take her on a cruise for her birthday present which turns out to be a singles cruise although Brooke isn't single. Also on this cruise we find Easton and Avery, they are bar owners and Avery has helped Easton with his daughter Cheyenne. Although Easton may not have been the best husband in the past he definitely redeems himself with his qualities of being an amazing father to Cheyenne right now. Everything he does is for her and he puts her needs first. That is how any father/daughter relationship should be. Easton and Avery meet Brooke and Nicole the first day on the cruise and Nicole and Avery immediately hit it off. They are instantly 'stuck' together which in turn leaves Easton and Brooke to bond. Brooke makes sure it is known that she is in a relationship but the attraction that is between the two is very apparent. They slowly get to know each other between activities they do and late night chats. I loved the chemistry that was between them and how they interacted. Brooke always kept Easton at an arms length though because of Jared back at home. Nicole and Avery on the other hand.... were pretty steamy! During all of this something was occuring with Brooke that we eventually find out. It is during your time of need you find out who you can really depend on. Who truely loves you and will always be there for you and who was only there in your life temporarily. Maybe Easton was only to help Brooke get her mind off of things for that moment in time or maybe he was there for more.... You definitely need to pick up this book and read it!!! Kimberly Knight did a phenomenal job with Tattooed Dots. It is told from both Easton and Brooke's POVs. You will laugh, cry, fall in love and enjoy the journey as these two characters find their place in life and learn what truely matters to them.
