About the Author

Have published 35 books since 1998, one out of print, 23 available on Smashwords, 6 on Wattpad and 15 on Amazon. I started writing fiction in 2012. I brought out a glut of little books as soon as I realised self publishing was an option, but now I am settling down to produce one novel and a collection of other stories each year. A grandfather of three angels, happily married for 42 years to another angel, living in Hampshire, England, about 35 miles west of London. I had worked for over 40 years as a printer and proofreader but retired in 2015 and hoping to spend more time writing. Also an editor of a community magazine, football programmes and have written weekly sports reports now for almost 20 years in local newspapers. Now concentrating on romantic fiction, mostly short stories, with occasional novellas and novels. Proud to be a member of the KCEditions independent publishing house of Canada.

Not much can be said without divulging the plot, but this is a sweet, quick read about an older gentleman who has his routine every day of going to the local cafe for his usual breakfast and then across the street to the library for a book. One morning he finds a little something that shakes up his routine in a nice way. Very worth the read, give it a try.

Perfect little story. At only 14ish pages it carries a novel's worth of depth. The characters are memorable and the story line is poignant. This little book will be one I return to again. Well done! All read

This is only 15 pages long but it's a very nice story - definitely worth the $ (free) and the time (probably takes under 30 min to read).

A lovely little book that tells the story as probably happens in real life but I was expecting a little more in those 14 pages.

Wonderful book written by a gifted author. Well written, well edited. A 14 page book that reads better than some full length novels. Such a treat! Finding an exceptionally well written, intelligent book for free. Clean read, no sex, swearing or gore.

Serendipity is always delightful. They say people come in and out of our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime, and I have yet to read it any better put than here in this tiny story

A book as short as this shouldn't bore me, but I could r manage even eight more monotenous pages. Middle age gawkers at a tea shop. . Blah and left me bored.
