I am a parent, but also a retired school teacher and I found the topics on sexuality in this book to be appropriate for me to use in all kinds of situations in my life. It is excellent for parents to use with little children, teenagers, young adults, grown ups and grand parents. It is a book that grows with your needs. It is open and truthful. I wish I had read it years ago, so I could have implemented its' truths better. Teaching Your Children the Truth about Sex, by Dr. Dobbins, brings the topic of sex under the authority of the home and within the context of love. Whether one is a Christian or not, the honesty and integrity of this book makes it a MUST to have on your bookshelf.

I was so impressed with this book. It was easy to read and to understand and the information that was given was invaluable for parents or grandparents talking with children about their sexuality. After reading this book I purchased it for two of my children. One is the parent of toddlers and one has children ranging from 4 to 16 years of age. I feel that this is a must read for every parent and grandparent.

I wish my parents had introduced me to sex this way. My views of my sexuality would have been much healthier. Dr. Dobbins begins with the child's birth and gives parents guidelines easy to follow in talking with their children about sex throughout their lifetime. The practical suggestions he makes in the Appendix for dealing with times when you find your children in sexually awkward situations is worth the price of the book. A must read for parents and grandparents!
