This a good book for the beginner, but it doesn't tell the whole story. I would recommend getting the full "Dummies" investing manual "High-Powered Investing for Dummies".

Great reference for the beginner. Lot of basics are covered plus more. Everything explained 'in plain english'. Good book. Belongs in every stock trader's library.

Barbara Rockefeller provides the reader with a good entry-level foundation in which to understand each technical disipline. Supported by the "Dummies tips, warnings, remembers and techincal stuff", it keep the information from being too academic or "technical". I recommend this book in advance of others on subject.
