Tell Me by Lisa Jackson

"Jam-packed with scary chills." --Booklist

The most hated woman in Savannah, Georgia, is about to be set free. Twenty years ago, beautiful Blondell O'Henry was convicted of murdering her eldest daughter, Amity, and wounding her two other children. The prosecution argued that Blondell wanted to be rid of them to be with her lover. But Blondell's son has now recanted his crucial testimony. . .

"Absolutely tension filled. . .Jackson is on top of her game." --Suspense Magazine

Reporter Nikki Gillette is determined to get the truth, and this time it's personal. Amity was her childhood friend. The night she died, Amity begged Nikki to meet with her, insisting she had a secret to tell, but Nikki didn't go. Now Nikki's fiancé, Detective Pierce Reed, worries for her safety. Because somehow, the events of that tragic night connect to Nikki's own fractured family.

"Jackson shows a mastery of the true-crime thriller formula that will please fans." --Kirkus Reviews

Is Amity's murderer still at large, or is there a new, darker danger? Soon Nikki will discover what really happened two decades ago, but the answers may come too late to save her life. . .

As usual Lisa Jackson has delivered a book that is full of Suspense and Intrigue. This is a Pierce Reed/ Nikki Gillette Story if you are a fan of Lisa Jackson you will remember them from The Morning After. In Tell Me Nikki is still recovering from her kidnapping by The Grave Digger and her Publisher is waiting for Nikki to produce another best selling true crime book, she finally finds a subject that she is very close to and that opens up a whole lot of fear in people in she gets closer to the real killer Nikki is in danger again. I recommend this book for all Lisa Jackson fans and if you are not a fan of hers now, you will be by the end of this book.

I liked the book overall. The story was different and engaging. I would have liked it better without the snakes, but that did play a part in the plot. I would have been happier with something else though. The plot was a little slow in the beginning but by the second half of the book, it picked up and the end was surprising and satisfying. I would recommend the book.

I have read pretty much every book Lisa has written but this one was not one of my favorites but still a decent read. Would have liked more interaction between Reed and Nikki but still an OK book.

I really enjoyed this book and the twists and turns that went with it. This was my first LJ book and she didn't disappoint. In fact I have purchased three more of her novels since then! I love the way that she describes things in her details, but they aren't overwhelming. Her characters and the situations are quite good. This kind of book is my favorite kind of read, as I like suspense and romance. Even the snakes, though creepy, were something that you could picture and fear. I highly recommend this book.

Out of all the books I have read by Lisa Jackson, this one seemed dull. Nikki and Reed barely had any interaction with each other. They're getting married but there just wasnt any sparks or passion.. he just kinda shows up at her place and leaves. No action in either side of the investigation just talk talk talk with the same information repeating.

I just love a good Lisa Jackson book. She has again delivered a great read with this addition to the Nicki Gillette series. Nicki is being pushed for another book from her publisher, and great idea for one kind of falls right into her lap. Her best friend in high school was murdered by her own mother and the mother is about to be let out of jail (20 years later), from the recanted testimony of the woman's son. Nicki is out for the story and won't be stopped! This is a fast-paced read full of lots of twists and turns, not to mention a few red herrings! Very exciting! There are a few pretty HOT moments between our heroine and her cop fiance, Pierce Reed, so I would not suggest this for the young reader. If you are not familiar with this series, this can be read as a stand alone book as Ms. Jackson does a pretty good job of filling readers in on past story lines so you aren't in the dark. That being said, the others are great reads also, and I would suggest them to anyone that likes this genre. My bet is, if you haven't read them yet, you will want to read them after reading this one! Thanx Ms. Jackson for an awesome read! Can't wait for the next installment! --SPeeD

Tell Me .... I am an avid fan of Lisa's and this definitely wasn't her normal caliber of book! Took sooo long to even get interested in the story (approx. 100 pages - but who's counting - right?) Then after that it was only a good story - very predictable plot. Nothing like her other book Malice where you couldn't put it down from the first page. Just kind of a boring book for someone like Lisa Jackson. I look forward to her next book and hope it starts out with a kick! Normally read her books in 3 days max - this one took 19 so that tells me a story about this story too! If you have nothing else to do - would recommend this book. Otherwise, go for one of her other books.

I hadn't read a Jackson book in awhile, but this was a welcome return. I would recommend this to any one who likes detective books.

Great Book All in all I think this was a wonderful written book. I loved the romance and thrill scenes. But I have to admit the book kind of just dragged on. It was really hard for me to really push through it. Although I'm one of those people who had to finish a book once I start reading it. I think it was creative writing but I wished sometimes she we just get to the point. The ending blew me away such a great twist!
